Just got 1 hour http 500 error did a backup using your previous post

Hey crashed great so far Im really loving this, its just what I need to keep me motivated. Im able to start this in a new site, and try and add the extra stuff on to 3 other sites, hard work lol, but im just about keeping up. One question though, We have the about page, the privacy page, should we not have a contact page? Did I miss that?
Thanks
Si

In terms of a contact page I tend to avoid it personally as when you have a large number of sites responding to email becomes a nightmare (imagine if you had to check 100 different email addresses a day on 100 different sites...).

If you watch out for tommorow's post I will explain what I do instead as I consider this to be part of my moneytization strageties...

Hey Crashed, quick question. Will your methods and monetization styles work for a review type site? I would like to follow you but I really only do review type sites, would something like this work well? I don't want to get well into the process and realize that they way your targeting your visitors will not work with a review site.

I don't see any reason why it shouldn't work for a review type site. If you want me have a quick glance at one of your sites and say yes or no for sure feel free to PM me.

Subscribed after a nap ill ready the entire thread it's gonna be fun and good luck

Definately is fun, im actually sleeping tonight so Day 3 will not be published for about 9 hours from now...

My thoughts that I will leave you with for now is my key rule for moneytization...

Who? Why? What?

Hey guys, I have a couple of questions:

First, I am following this with a WP install in a subdomain of my money site, as it is really pretty custom. Anyhow, can you see any disadvantages in that? Simply put, will blog.mydomain perform any worse, or could it actually be a draw for my main site?

Second, not being very familiar with social networking, I followed your procedure for creating a "community" Facebook page, which went perfectly smoothly. Not within an hour, I had two direct match followers on Twitter and one asked to also connect on FB, with a link to his company profile. Surprisingly, after following it, I could not see the "like" button anywhere. only a link to "add to my page's favorites". Crazily, clicking around, it seemed to make even less sense (don't wanna go into too much detail), so I logged out.. To my surprise, it wouldn't let me back in with the email address/pass I used to create the page, then let me reset it and finally insisted I create a personal profile.. So I am a bit lost between relationsips of "pages" and personal profiles. Thankfully, I was still logged in to the page in another tab, so am now worried what happens after I log out, lol.

Thanks a ton OP! Already indexed and on the first page for keywords in my domain.(They weren't very competitive) I was also wondering if anyone else was using the intrepidity theme? It's great for capturing emails and building your first mailing list. Search it!

thing I did for the post is to insert a related image in it.
and the name is "(sitename without the http://) - keywords"
So I get some traffic from those pictures

Cant wait for todays post. I am completely new to all this but i am so enthusiastic about it all, i am so determined and this is exactly what i needed to get started. any sort of $$$ will be enough motivation for me to carry on, and if i was to start making quite a bit, i will almost definately be donating to BHW, because with this site id have $0. well, i still have 0 atm haha but hopefully thanks to you, ill make at least something. The guide is easy to follow and i even sat for a good few hours straight writing all the articles i needed yesterday! haha, so yeah, cant wait for todays post!

His profile says he was last online at 5 past 2 this morning, which because he is English, is 5 past 3 this morning, and its half 2 here now.. so if i was up til that time, high probability is that id probably still be in bed now :P being a teenager and all!

I personally never use subdomains. The only people that tend to use subdomains are people in IM. Google and other major sites know that.

Also subdomains may look bad/spammy on the social networks, and with twitter add length to the tweet.

Now for Facebook, when you set up a page in the way I demonstrated you are not creating a facebook account. It is purely for running a page, and as such you do not have a personal profile, or the ability to "like" stuff or add friends.

It is good as it allows you to create a page on your topic without
a. Linking it to your personal account
b. Breaking Facebook Tos and having multiple personal accounts (fb tends to detect this and delete...)

A personal profile on the other hand is just that, personal. If facebook asks you to create a personal profile after you login just goto http://www.facebook.com/pages to access your page.

Still sleeping?. :)

No :p
