I see we are going to have to make a vid on how to get this going in Vista. If you are not familiar with Vista's software security policies, then you will not be able to use BMD. But you will also run into several other programs you will want to work and run into the same problem.
The solution is to read up on the Vista help file and search for "data execution prevention" without the quotes. For reference to where you change the settings to get your programs to work is kept here. You will need this path to get to the settings.
Look for the following
in order of sequence: control panel, system, advanced system properties, performance settings, data execution prevention, select radio button " Turn on DEP for all programs and services except those I select:", then click "Add" Button, browse for program you want to run (BMD.exe lets say), click "Open" Button, now check off box beside the program now showing in the text box list of programs, click okay.
Now you're done and this will get most of your programs to work.
