What the hell is a web 2.0 ??

I have seen absolutely everybody talk about them, but i have never understood what they are, how you make them, what they do etc.

Im sure there are plenty of SEO noobs here wondering the same thing, so any informative posts will make this thread a success in educating me and many others who read it.

When people use web 2.0s for SEO purposes, what do they do with them? Load them up with content and put a backlink to their money site on it??

P.S there are hundreds of thousands of threads in BHW with the word web 2.0 in. It will take me donkeys years to find out what i want.

As for what they use it for as people say above use search button. Don't get spoonfed. How can u have 175 posts and not know i think you are trolling people.

Web 2.0's can be used for buffer sites. Backlinks on them to site, backlinks through them to site. etc. Go look in the marketplace you'll find a lot of uses.

But as i said in the post before, there are thousands of threads with the word web 2.0 in. You search it and it will come up with loads of irrelevant crap, wasting my time! I was hoping to create a thread that was a simple, straight forward answer for me and people who also don't know the answer!

A blog on blogspot is a 'web 2.0 property', a reply on a blog is not. On a property you have a lot more freedom when styling and presenting content. You are a micro moderator of sorts.
