No problem. It's funny, I was for sure I would have been sand boxed by now. But part of the reason I haven't been is because of link velocity. I continually build links and I only pinged the first bunch which is less than 5% now of my total links built. Plus I use only 100% unique content.
Again, I thought I would be toast by now, but this is actually working really damn well.

First off thanks for doing this.
I noticed you talked about your link velocity but from what i have noticed is your varying it. Are you attempting to blast each time it dances? As to prevent the sandbox? And yeah i think after the panda the unique content is carrying a huge weight so google might in fact be going against their older methods and some of the new methods would be as long as the cralwer notices unique content it is less likely to sand box?

To clarify with link velocity, I don't mean that I build x number of link each day. What I do is build them in huge blocks and then watch as they get indexed. When the indexing rate starts to go down I hit it again. I am basically using YSE as my speedometer.
I definitely think that unique content is a HUGE part of my success. I've tried similar things with half-ass'd content and get killed. I'm also not using any tricky plugins on my site. Everything is pretty clean with no gimmicks for Google to pick up on.
So far it is going extremely well. I'm working on the exact specifics for my next phase, but I guarantee that it will involve new, 100% unique content and SB links!
bfellow, excellent thread and for someone who hasn't yet taken SB seriously, even though owning it a few months, it's starting to kick me into gear.
What is the tool you are using to check all your keyword ranks?
I tend to use the SB add-on to check the number of backlinks as I think it gets that information from Yahoo Explorer?

I'm pretty new to IM, so i'm not aware of the whole mass pinging procedure. Any chance you can explain that in detail?
Also, do you have 1 article written for each of your sub keywords? And how many sub keywords do you have that you are gonna try to rank for?

Read though the whole thread, very cool experiment. Love the sig too as I've always found I get more use and make more money from things I learn by myself. I always said school after about 6th grade was worthless repetition.
Thanks for a fab thread...having been trying to follow your advice about massive SB links but need to know what you are using to get them indexed...for the lst week have run a 100K lists with fair success rate...but nothing yet on yse...do kind advise...for my sake and the sake of the rest of the avid readers of your thread how to get them indexed...

Hey Everyone,
I'm a little behind on updating the thread. Sorry for that. It has been really crazy lately with all of my work (I own two companies and consult for a Fortune 100 company). First I will do an update, then answer questions and comments, the talk about a few of my plans for the future.
UPDATE:
Right now, everything is going perfect. Rankings continue to rise. I've lost track of how many 1st page rankings I have now. Traffic continues to steadily rise. YSE crossed 24,000 links to 24,133. My daily average number of visitors continue rise as well. At the beginning of the month I had several days in the teens to twenties, now the are 40-60 visits a day with that average continuing to shift up on a daily basis.
Primary keyword continues to do well, ranking at #7. I think I need a concentrated blast to move it up, but I am gunning against some BIG sites. To give you an idea, at rank #6 is About.com. At #8 is Ask.com.
I set up another SB server today to help with some of the load and am looking at renting several VPS's and expanding my private proxies as I gear up to take on a much bigger load.
Now for Q&A and COMMENTS:

2) I like to use articles that target big keywords and then I derive sub-keywords from these articles. If I had an article specifically for every keyword, I would literally need hundreds of articles.
3) Total number of keywords that I am ranking for right this minute is several hundred. No definitive number, but if I had to guess from what I know, 4-500 would probably be a safe guess.
As far as comments, I just generic, spun comments. I have about 100 that are all really well spun, so literally thousands of iterations.
For the above to, I'm using Rank Checker in Firefox.
I am only using the link generated in the name field. I am not dropping any links in the actual comment field.

Then it would send googlebot as well as other spiders to the site in general which would then be crawled and you would have a degree of separation. This would be a good way to ping with out actually directly pinging which could through a flag.
As far as gathering auto approve blogs, I have several sources. I discover a lot of them just by running massive blasts and checking them. No real easy answer to this one in terms of generating them on your own. But I will be providing these lists really soon.

So after getting several PM's, emails, chat requests and more I have decided that I will be selling my lists as well as also providing blasting services for anyone who wants exactly what I have done.
I am currently gearing up to provide both list services as well as blasting services. I have a website that will coordinate this being built by a contractor as I write this. When the site is live I will buy the Donor membership to provide a link to the service as well as strongly looking to purchase advertising on BHW directly.
The final products and services are still being planned, but they will include exclusive lists (.edu, .gov, and low OBL lists), 'fodder' lists (high OBL) for big blasts (very similar to what I am doing now), as well as on-time blasts and a subscription service for continued blasting at various levels. In the end I'll be offering 12-15 different products or services.
*Please note that at this time I am not selling anything*. I'll announce the service when it is ready, lists are sorted and verified, additional server capacity is up and running, and I have at a minimum signed up for Donor status here on BHW if not actually spending the big bucks on a site-wide advertising.

Anyone please a reliable method of finding auto aproves?
Runing a link checker after the blast can take even more than the blast itself so I find it very inconvenient. And sometimes the checker reports error pages/timeouts where in fact your link IS there.. so not reliable.
There is the method of going after backlinks of the spammers, using the backlinks plugin. But what other method?
Any pluging that says autoaprove= yes/no ?

The thing about buying lists is that a lot of them can still be spammed to death and suddenly go from AA to manual - meaning you run the risk of being flagged.
Maybe consider a VPS and doing things such as link checks over night?

First some stats:
YSE: 26,132 current backlinks
GWT: Continues to climb with 190 keywords and 18,000 impressions
Keywords: I need to really do an audit of these, but first or second page for over 100 and total keywords several hundred (500+)/
I thought this would be a fun visual for how fast links are being picked up. This is from Majestic SEO:
As you can see, the rate at which links are picked up is pretty impressive. I haven't ran a big blast in a few days, hence the flatting out. I am currently expanding my AA lists. I would like to do a one million link blast in a day or two if I can muster the lists. I currently have several servers running just for this.
Also time to add new content, which I will do this evening, then backlink that in the next mega link blast.
As far as 'how do I acquire AA lists?'. It really is just brute force. I scrape like a mad man across over half a dozen servers. I am constantly re-compiling lists and scraping for more. There are no magic plugins that just automatically designate AA blogs from others. You have to scrape, post, check, repeat. The only trick is scale.
There really is not hidden trick that I am holding back. If you just have one server with one copy of SB, then building million link lists will take time. It does when you have your own cluster, a dedicated pipe, and private proxies.
Again, no trick, just scale.

Nice update. I've downloaded a 58k list of english words and started the harvest . Maybe this is a way to start the AA lookup? (+1k per letter, so it takes it's time..). And SB would only gather 1M to it's harvested panel, but I collect the total in the Harvested_Sessions dir, these are usually above 1M per letter before removing dupes (plugin DupRemove would also let you merge huge files).
1- You harvest only wordpress blogs?
2- You harvest with Google, Yahoo, Aol, Bing or All ? (I find AOL is the slower of all so only using goog+yahoo. Usually Yahoo brings in more urls than goog.. )
BTW anyone knows a way to do blogger blogs with SB?
