I have a site I spent a ton of time on and google is sandboxing me.

I have a link from yahoo directory, it showed w/ link:www.websitename.com 2 days ago, now it has nothing.

Yahoo site explorer shows 170 links (I just aquired a bunch, it used to show 14 or something)

I don't show for "website name" untill the 670th result. I bought the domain from namejet w/ 14 years of history.

Any ideas?

I don't even know how to tell if it's sandboxed for sure, but it really seems google hates it..

Do you know of any way to tell for sure if your site is sandboxed?

Thanks.

Oh, it also has "about 15,000" indexed pages...

15,000 indexed pages..

autoblog by any chance? dupe content? Could be why google hates it?

It seems that there is something up with the domain name, maybe a shady history in G's eyes. Just a hunch

Post the website address (or PM it), otherwise its just guessing.

Do a search for yoursite.com in Google. If it returns results that are pages from your site then you just need to do better seo. If nothing shows up at all then Google doesn't like your site and you need to fix something.

From what I can gather your pages are showing up in the results, although pretty far down. This generally just means that you need to do better seo.

Quite possible it is a complete conspiracy against you and your site. ;)

I built a pretty darn great site last year and 3 months into, Google decides that 'they hate my site' and the site has still not recovered even though the content was fresh, helpful to the users and very informative.

Unfortunately, sometimes Google's algorithm just doesn't add up.

shovel and a bucket, best way to clean the sandbox and make a castle to put you on top.
