They probably have better things to be doing with their Sunday evenings than activating your custom avatar...

This is true but there is a really annoying glitch that has stuck a ton of forum users on "newbies" status and so prevents custom avatars or using certain things in our posts. I'm also one of these users. It's not really that important but can be a hassle at times to not have full posting capabilities.
I'd also like to get my restrictions removed, any chance of this being fixed on a non case-by-case basis?
