Whenever there is a change in Twitter UI TA stops working! Is there any permanent fix for this?

Is there a way I can send DM's in mass to a specific segment of my followers?

I'm aware of the DM module of TA, but from what I gather in the user manual it will send a DM to everyone following me.

I was wondering if I could send DM's to only select members who are following me. Specifically I would like to be able to send a special, custom message to people in my VIP list, not everyone who is currently following me.

Is there a way to be able to do this?

If not, I would like to make this a feature request to be incorporated in future updates.

thnx

supersi you cannot sent messages to people who aren't following you, twitter won't allow it!

I never asked if I could send DM's to people who aren't following me.

Check out the very first sentence in my post...

My question is, can I use TA to send DM's to a segment of my followers, not to all of them.

I'm wondering if there is a way to compile a list to send to DM's - list similar to VIP list, or list of users to follow, basically any kind of text list of user names that I would like to send a DM to.

You should absolutely buy this Software!

I have purchased this Software back in November/10.

Never used the Wait and Reply feature once. Don't plan on it.

Just building up followers across 101 Accounts. Wasted the first 2 Months with Account suspensions. Finally figured out what was causing them to be suspended.

Now, most of my Twitter Accounts have been going strong for more than 2 Months now. Getting lots of traffic from people clicking on the link in my profile. I only post 8 regular tweets a day and 2 tweets with links. Per Account. I only follow around 200 people a day. When I go over that number, then I do get some account suspensions. 9 out of my 101 accounts were suspended. The suspensions would correspond to me getting more aggressive with my following/unfollowing. I'm back up to 101 accounts after replacing the accounts that were suspended.

Now, I have close to 100,000 followers. Created several mylikes accounts. With each Mylikes account, I post the same tweet across approx. 8 Twitter accounts. I'd lose all of my accounts if I post the same tweet across all of my accounts within a short period of time. Already learned that lesson.

Now, I am earning over 1,000 a Month. Mylikes makes up about $200 a Month. My income should keep increasing as my followers increase.

A lot of my Twitter stuff is automated with Tweetattacks. Doesn't take much time out of my day to maintain.

But my eggs are in the Twitter basket right now. I'm going to focus some of my efforts on Youtube now. I wish that you would make Software for Youtube. Because I would buy it in a heartbeat because it would be the best there is for Youtube marketing. Searching for a Tweetattacks type of software for Youtube at the moment ....

For those of you that say Tweet Attacks no longer works, then you are missing out. If you are always losing your accounts because of your use of the Wait and Reply and you are about to give up on Tweetattacks, just think of how many followers you could have had by now if you were focusing on Whitehat methods trying to gain followers.

Just my 2 cents ... :)

Great advice! Here's another little tip: In your Twitter Bio put your affiliate links there too! It definitely is bringing in some great traffic for me. I have about 100 accounts all with my links in the Bio's. I don't even have to tweet anything as soon as you start following people and they follow you back they will see your profile along with your Bio link under the follower's/following lists. Works great! I follow about 300 people everyday in each account. Do the math and that is some great traffic. :)

@TheMasterOfMoney: This is called hijacking sales thread and will result a ban. Don't you know that?

I'm amazed how many people actually click on the link in the bio! I went searching the net for sexy women pics to use for my profile pics. Searched the newspaper websites for the Sunshine girl sections and took a snapshot of the face of the sexiest looking ones that I could find. Then I try to target guys as much as I can. I'm sure that helps in getting more clicks! :D

Here is another tip: DO NOT use the same website link in every profile! All accounts could easily be linked together. With my main website, I created a sub domain for every single Twitter Accounts. Made it sound sexy. Ex. SexPics1.mysite.com, SexPics2.mysite.com, etc...

Then I just do a redirect from the cpanel of my website. I redirect the subdomain to whatever I want. Way more faster and easier than adding an index.php header redirect page to each sub domain. Then you can easily test different offers, affiliate programs or whatever by just changing the redirects from the cpanel without ever having to login to each Twitter account to change the link.

Sure, takes a bit of work. But in IM, the lazy ones that are not willing to put in much work will have better odds of winning the lottery than succeeding in internet marketing.

Do you guys have any ways to target followers by Country using TA?

Yes it works very well indeed! lol Thanks for the tip on creating redirects from website. That's a great idea! You said you test different offers by changing the redirect url's so do you only put the link in the bio and not a short description? I put a short desc. of my what I'm promoting and then link. I think it targets them a little better.

I've only tried it with about 100 accounts and since I'm using free public proxies of course there are a few accounts suspended daily just cause of the proxy that has been over used on twitter.

I would love to try it with private or even shared proxies but in order to handle a ton of accounts with private proxies would costs a lot of money.

The way I do it now I have to keep switching the proxies cause half of them stop working. So yes it does take work to keep up with the accounts and keep the following going. But I have found it to be working great!

Anymore suggestions you may have about this method?

Glad I could be of help to you as well! :)

IMHO, this technique works far better with white hat campaigns (then again, what doesn't LOL). Do not try this with the @Reply or W&R modules, as Twitter will flag the root domain. Clicking on sub-domain links will then bring up a spam warning.

My guess is that even with white hat campaigns, the domain will eventually be flagged. The same is true with URL shorteners, including those that are self-hosted.

Yes, very true. I wouldn't even bother putting the url in the profile with any blackhat techniques. The domains would most certainly be flagged and banned. I was referring to whitehat accounts. Basically just gaining followers.

I was wondering if using subdomains would make any difference. Google treats a subdomain as a separate site. But would Twitter see it as a separate site as well or would they see all urls as the same because they all have the same root domain?

When I was first using Tweet Attacks, I used the same website domain in the profile for every account. Accounts were suspended within 2-3 days. Domain name was banned. Since using subdomains, my accounts have not been suspended. Most accounts have been going for close to 3 months now.

No, I do not put the website link in the bio. I add it right in the profile where it says website url. I don't need a short description. I make my sub-domain as short and descriptive is possible. The sub-domain is the first part of the url that is seen. So I make sure it tells people what they can expect to find. I'm making money with Adultfriendfinder and xprofiles. So my domain names are sex orientated. What do you think you would expect to find with this website name: Sex-Pics1.yoursite.com?

Public proxies are way too much work. Not reliable, always down. Always changing the proxies with new ones that work. Accounts being suspended because of abuse by many others. Its hard enough to stay under the radar and not get accounts suspended just using whitehat techniques with private proxies. You'll find it hard to get ahead when your accounts are always being suspended and you are constantly starting back at zero. I was using 4 accounts per proxy when I was using 25 private proxies and I had no problems. I wouldn't go any more than 4. Now I'm using 50 Private Proxies from Squid Proxies at $65 a Month. I'm using 2 accounts per Proxy now. 25 private proxies will handle your 100 accounts.

As for the subdomains, here is another trick that I use.

For my 101 Twitter Accounts, I created 101 sub-domains. 1 for each account. I also created 5 additional sub-domains. I have 20 sub-domains redirecting to 1 of the additional sub-domains. Another 20 redirecting to the 2nd additional sub-domain. Another 20 redirecting to the 3rd. Etc.

The 5 sub-domains then get redirected to different offers. Maybe testing different landing pages. Or you could just have all 5 going to the same offer. But you at least have that option of easily directing your traffic to different offers anytime you choose. So, the sub-domain gets redirected to another sub-domain which redirects to the actual offer.

If I want to redirect 20% of my Twitter accounts to a different offer, then I just delete the redirect for the 1 additional sub-domain and then quickly add a redirect back in to my preferred offer for that sub-domain. In my cpanel, I see no way of editing the redirect. I have to actually delete it and then re add it back in. As soon as I delete the redirect, then my traffic goes nowhere until I add another redirect back in. I'm sure missing out on 10 seconds worth of traffic whenever I change a redirect is not going to break me. :D

If I had all 101 sub-domains redirecting to the same offer and I wanted to send 20% of my twitter accounts to a different offer, then I would be deleting and adding back in 20 redirects. By using the additional 5 sub-domains the way I described above, I only have to change 1 redirect instead of 20 to achieve the same result.

Is this software really good? I heard that following a lot of people in a short period of time goes to account suspension.

i also have about 150 accounts actively building followers daily. i am up to about 60,000 followers now but hitting my follow limits on most. Every once in a while you have to just load all your accounts into the follow/unfollow module and just unfollow for a few days to get your follow/unfollow ratio down

as far as proxies/account ratio, i am using 5 accounts per private proxy. I tried using 10 accounts per proxy and got most suspended. The private proxies are a mandatory expense for this method IMO, using free proxies is just too much to manage for me. But even at $100 a month for private proxies you should be covering that expense even if you just tweet out a CPA offer once a day to all your followers. if you have 100,000 followers and .01% click on an email submit for $1 you should make $10/day or $300/month to cover proxy costs.

I also have not had any issue with using max limit on the follow/unfollow with aged accounts that have 500+ plus followers. To get to 500+ followers i take it slow to get to that point, setting it at 150-250 limits in follow/unfollow mode. this seems to work with no suspensions.

I like the redirect method above to change the URL in the profile. Any other ideas on simplifying this even more would be great.

why doesn't it allow me to update to the newest build of tweetattacks lite? it says url is invalid when I hit the update button. Any help? I'm also still receiving the unable to authenticate token error and was hoping this update would solve that.

Thanks alot!

Just have a problem using proxies using TA. I'm using SquidProxies and when I assign them there - it shows an error <!DocType blah-blah. Seems okay when there are no proxies. Anyone experienced this? I already submitted a ticket - but no response yet.

I was wondering if using subdomains would make any difference. Google treats a subdomain as a separate site. But would Twitter see it as a separate site as well or would they see all urls as the same because they all have the same root domain?
From your earlier post, sounds as if you are using a unique sub-domain for each Twitter account. That's a great solution for a very unique situation. :) My guess is that the average TA user is managing accounts in the thousands, not hundreds, and that makes the use of subdomains less practical for whitehat work.

It's always a balancing, but I would be curious to know whether this technique works as one scales up campaigns: how many accounts could be associated per subdomain before they are flagged? No doubt someone on this thread has the answer. :)

Squid proxies offer great customer support, but for the most part have been burned by overuse by TA users. If you try a different proxy provider I think you'll have better results.
