Hello everyone...

I need your help for one of my website...
I was ranking at #10 in Google.com. But recently my website was thrown at #45 in Google.com
The only changes which I have made was I have created a keyword specified page with the url : mydomain.com/keyword/

Now my question is that why did happens with the website and how could I recover this...

Thanks in Advance.

Personally I would just start building more backlinks and add a little content to the site each day for a week.

I would start building more QUALITY backlinks. Give the forum profiles a break. I'd assume that's what you're using because that's what all of these threads of late have in common it seems.

Backlinking is the best way to jump back to your place. This time go for high PR sites and try removing the keyword page which you recently updated.

Thanks I am gonna remove that page...

For high PR linking should I use Forum profile linking ?

Start building links for that new page. You will get ranked with that

Build more variety of backlinks. You don't want all your backlinks to be of one type. Add backlinks from articles, blog posts, blog comments, abc link trades, wikis, bookmarking sites, etc.

How often do you update your site? Longtime no update may harm your PR. I think you should start for a SEO campaign with unique content and to build quality backlinks. It may help you to back your rank.

I suppose your initial ranking was for your main page (domain) and then once you created that specific page your ranking (main page) decreased (correct me if it's wrong).

If that is the case, I have similar problem.

I ranked (#10) on 165k exact monthly searches keyword for my main site
I created specific page like yours to make it more targetted (getting keyword in URL)
And yes, the initial ranking was blown away badly.
I started to create more links on that specific page and after about 2 weeks or so I can get that specific page rank on page one.
Still floating around #9-#12 anyway

I have 4 keywords (all are high competitive keywords) with that similar case and most of them back up to the initial ranking, using the new specific page when it was initially using the main page (domain).
All those new specific pages were created on the same day and back to rank almost on the same period, around 2 weeks.

However I should say that my site is old (5+ year) and have PR5 (if that counts)

Just do what you normally would, it's possibly just one
of those Google Dances and you'll jump back up in a few
weeks.

Thanks vlerian for your reply,
I am also at same stage which u have stated.

The keyword I have targeted have 2740k Global search volume and site is 3.5 Years old although still it has PR0. Keyword was missing in domain name and therefore I thought to make a separate page. After reading your points, I think I will Stick with that page, increase some quality back-links and will wait for few more days to see its effect.
