Introduction
For some people $1500 a month might not be such a big deal but for most an additional $1500 to their monthly salary would be the difference between living decent and being able to do whatever you want. In my case I will be moving at the end of 2011 and to be able to this I need those extra cash.
This thread will be a work in progress. I created my site (blog) in july 2010 and has since then published about 50 posts resulting in a few hundred unique vistiors a day. Based on what I can read on other forums this is where a lot of people get stuck. They get a few initial visitors (100 - 500) but never reaches the first page and therefore their motivation runs out before they can cash in some serious money. I've done it once before but lost the domain due to trademark complaints. This time I will do everything in public aiming to both motivate and teach some of you what can be done using only white hat techniques.
What I've done so far
1) Registrerad a domain ($12)
2) Created a simple Wordpress blog
3) Published about 50 short posts
4) Added my site in some free link directories
5) Hired a guy to build nische sites and link them to my blog ($360)
6) Manually wrote a lot of genuin blog comments
Truth to be told it's simple straightforward link bulding techniques.
My current work schedule
To make sure I really do work and don't waste my time I have created a daily step for step work schedule.
1) Write a high quality post on my blog (90 min)
2) Add post on social bookmarking sites (5 min)
3) Create a forum thread and discreetly mention my site (15 min)
4) Comment on new blog posts mentioning my keywords (30 min)
5) Write and submit article linking to one of my niche sites (30 min)
6) Write and submit article linking to one of my niche sites (30 min)
7) Write a new post on one of my niche sites (30 min)
8) Create a new niche site linking to my blog (60 min)
9) Choose between writing a guest post, writing articles or asking for link exchanges
As you can see I've divided them into four groups based on priority. Most important is to create and market new high quality content. Next step is to create content and build backlinks for my niche sites aiming to turn them into passive income combined with linkpower. If I'm up for it I continue to create a new niche site, complete other tasks and work with something in group 9. Is there something else I should add to my list?

For the first time ever I'm trying to succeed in a billion-dollar industry and a bit optimistic I went straight for the main keyword. Something I don't recommend - aim for long tail in the beginning instead and you will get faster results. Anyway, after several weeks without any good ranking I ended up at #11 this week. Hopefully it's just a matter of time I until I'm on the first page.
