30 day case study about first campaign by a complete noob

Once you figure out a formula to earn even a little money, it's comforting to know that you can:

1) Increase traffic and increase your earnings WITHOUT DOUBT.
2) Replicate the site you just made (different niche) and the steps you used to earn the revenue and you will replicate the revenue. Make 100 of those sites and you might earn $50/day. It's not quite as easy as I make it sound, but it's almost as easy once you have the initial formula figured out and fine tuned. Some people have trouble making any money at all.

I would be interested in understanding how you chose your niche (which i don't need to be named). I have read all the guides and done it myself but interested to see how others have done it.

I chose my niche for several reasons:

1. I am able to write a decent amount of original content on it
2. I knew there would be a spike in interest this time of year
3. Although competitive, it wasn't as competitive as other fields

i optimized my ads and am now seeing a bit of an increase in CTR. from 1% to 1.25% just by moving some ads around.

Hits went down from 984 to 500+. boo.

moved up 1 spot on the first page. i REALLY hope i can make top 5!

did you try linkwheeling yet ? i think linkwheel will have more affect in the long run, especially if you competing for the top5. All backlinks directly to your main site might not be a good idea.

but if you want to try linkwheel , u may need senuke....

Im going to take a page from your book and start my own one this weekend. In my eyes even $0.5 is enough because it makes $15 a month or $180 a year. With ten of these you have a happy income and can probably outsource some of it. Does anyone know how often you should update your blog? Obviously once a day is the best idea but we cant all do that.

sorry for not updating -- been working on my 2nd campaign. Everything's been around the same, getting about $1/day with terrible CTR. I am trying a new theme for wordpress and i believe it's going to increase the CTR. will update soon!

i have a couple blogs that im working on myself. this case study's blueprint is literally the same thing i am doing! i actually bought ready-to-go complete blogs from flippa but they have zero backlinks, articles submitted, and the only traffic seems to be coming from googlebot and me lol. but i am reading anything i can about generating traffic and increasing SERPs for my organic keywords. i truly admire the OPs patience because i have been doing too many Fiverr gigs on backlinks and not seeing results in the ranking. i figured since i am the worlds laZiest dude i could take shortcuts and buy the website and then pay for backlinking services and magically see the adsense revenue grow. but this case study is a very humbling reality check for me. i need to learn this stuff on my own first before i even think about outsourcing.

When you get a list of blogposts/forum profiles from the xrumer blasts...search for bulkping in google (i can't post links yet) and enter in like 50 of the post links/forum profiles at a time, enter the keyword used and press ping.

This service, which is free, will shoot out links to the xrumers links and the search engines will find those optimized links faster and they will have more affect.

I do it all the time and it actually does work.
Let me know if that makes sense.

wrote new article, bumped down to 2nd page.. using bulkping right now, lets see if that does anything for me.

right now what i would recommend is to have good on page optimization, write a new article almost every day, spin it with a good spinner (thebestspinner is my personal fav) and submit it to article directories and social networks (article marketing robot, seogenx or whatever that is) and sporadically use scrapebox/xrumer (i have not used scrapebox yet though)

most important though is to have good, original content.

earned $.52 today, I am thinking this niche won't make me much money haha

Try CTR theme.
It may really help to improve your CTR.
