Did The Panda Update Shoot Down BuildMyRank?

I've always admired BuildMyRank as a decent way of building backlinks. I'd consider it more grey hat than blackhat as each post is unique and reviewed by a human being before being allowed go live. Becuase of this, i always thought of it as a bit like a decent article directory service (and not one of the crappy ones you'd associate with UAW and the like).

I've just bought a subscription to BuildMyRank. I was wondering what peoples opinions are of it now POST Panda update. Is it still effective and worth the money?

why dont you test it since you have subcribed. Dont send too much link from bmr to new domains it might get sandboxed. Those links are way to heavy for new site. And always move around article word count and link placement in your article on bmr

Do you mean they are too good? ie contextual links?

I am not a user of BMR, but I noticed that Google is very quick in penalizing (sanboxing) sites that building links very quickly..

Fair point but you can only build 10 links per domain per day using BMR. I would have thought that was slow enough.

That's interesting, I might try to use BMR one of this days. I use MyArticleNetwork BTW..

I've only just subscribed this month. BMR seems better in principal than ordinary whitehat article marketing. Heres why:
Each post/article you write gets to have the ******** link in the body of the article (even close to the top) as opposed to ordinary article marketing (say ezinearticles) where the link must go in the resource box.
Each post gets put on a different domain (as opposed to ordinary article marketing where each article you write for them gets put on the same domain).

I would presume these points coupled with the fact that each post is only allowed to be used once (ie no duplicate content) would mean that BMR should in theory have done well against the recent panda update. Though i've no facts to back this up.

I use both linkvana and BMR. I think Panda didnt hit them and prob, among all article syndication sites, they will be the ones who can stay effective the longest

The problem with so called "private networks" is that as soon as they are open to the public they're easy to find. For well known networks like BMR it just takes one member of the Google spam team to signup and submit a few articles and then they can easily track down the blogs in the network.

I used BMR a few months ago and the blogs my articles landed on were OK - mainly PR 0 or PR 1 though. Not quite what I'd hoped for.

PR6 - 2
PR5 - 6
PR4 - 34
PR3 - 83
PR2 - 121
PR1 - 64
PR0 - 8

The funny thing is I got better results posting to my own 50 freshly setup highly related wordpress blogs, all PR n/a. Proves how PR doesn't matter.

Interesting, Can you tell me more on how you set them up? Did you use different IP for each WP blog? what TLD did you use? .com/net/org or .infos?

Here!!! I find BMR cool. I recommend using it for link building and yes with a little help from textbroker it will be a lot cooler!

Just stuff I noticed about BMR. If you write your own article or had someone wrote it rather than BMR, they will be posted to sites with lesser PR and if articles are from BMR you can expect high PR links to your site

I can't compare as i've never got BMR to write my articles for me. What i will say though is that i've got a few PR4s and 5s and i've written all my posts myself and i'm only on BMR less than a month. So you can get some decent PR's even with writing your own posts/articles.

I have still found BMR to be effective when used as part of a bigger picture link building plan. I continue offer it as part of my article marketing distribution package with great feedback/results.

I have a couple sites on same ip but mostly on different ips. TLDs are .com and a couple .net.

I am posting with the old Senuke's Wpmu module. Simply enabled xmlrpc on the blogs and senuke submits my spinned articles with the usual random links and stuff that comes with senuke.

i disagree. aside from the possibility of the network being exposed and penalized in the future, the links look fairly natural and are relatively few in number. i've used it for new sites and saw no problems whatsoever. with that said, all my new sites have a rather high posting velocity, which i suspect (but can't prove) lets me get away with more rapid linkbuilding.

Chances are its not even deindexed, rather you are experiencing a Google dance.

Post facts rather than bogus claims.
