Not yet but getting there ( expect another 10-14 days ).

march 19th update
Site 1 : KW ranked 6th , 268 backlinks.
Site 2 : KW1 741, KW2 117, KW3 10, KW4 26 total backlinks to whole site 2606

This is the last update about these 2 sites as i now have time to also promote them differently then only trackbacks.

April 4th update
Site 1 : KW ranked still ranked 6th , 821 backlinks. for the last 2 weeks very stable in top 10 but not moving up although more backlinks have been discovered. I presume this is the highest what it will be without promoting also through different means.

Site 2 : KW1 669, KW2 581, KW3 17, KW4 24 total backlinks to whole site 7005, this site has seen crazy daily up and downs from top 10 to not ranking at all.

I noticed that the backlinks for the test site:

are down from 30k+ to only 19k. I wonder if this is happening to everyone that bought this?

that happened because a lot of the sites have the recent comments widget that puts your link on every page, but just temporary.

I'll copy & paste a PM conversation between somebody who PM'd me asking basically the same question:

I would like to add a question, the backlinks to your site were about 30,000 in 20 days, but now they decreased.Are the trackback backlinks temporary?

TrackBack links are no more temporary than comment blast links. The reason for the decrease, is likely because some were deleted or "pushed down" to a different page by other people also submitting trackbacks to the same site.

Also, a lot of sites have a "recent comments widget" that appears sitewide on their sites. When you submit a comment OR a trackback, your comment/backlink appears on that widget...which in turn gives you a sitewide backlink from their site. Now if that site has 100 pages, that is 100 backlinks...if it has 2k pages, that's 2k backlinks. As others come and comment on the same site, you get pushed off that widget...and in turn lose those sitewide backlinks.

So no, trackback links are not temporary.

While my backlink count may have decreased in Yahoo Site Explorer, it has only gone up in Google Webmaster Tools. That site, as of right now, has 119,774 indexed backlinks. If you would like me to take a video of me logging into GWT showing that, let me know and I'll go ahead and do it (it will only take me a couple of seconds, so it is really no trouble).

Also, my rankings for that site have only increased. I am on page 1 for ALL of the following phrases:

yankee candles cheap
cheap yankee candles
discount yankee candles
wholesale yankee candles
buy yankee candles
cheap yakee candles (I ranked for this misspelling on purpose)
and a number of other phrases

That is a combined search volume of 1,336 searches a month (that's EXACT MATCH search volume too...not broad or phrase).

You'll see that the Alexa for that site is 197,740.
