Unusual SEO effect from SEO SearchTerms Tagging 2 wp plugin

This is actually one of the plugins that I talked about in this post http://www.blackhatworld.com/blackhat-seo/blogging/298889-plugins-i-use-more-importantly-why.html as one of the main stays I use on all my blogs now.

In the roughly month and a half since I put it onto several autoblogs I have, all of which have existed for well over a year, my traffic has gone way up, by 600% on one of them. It's well worth the 30 seconds it takes to install.

its been another 48 hours +
so 4 days + now
same position and just the increase in traffic I was getting anyway 10% per month
so unfortunately for me nothing has happened will give it another 2 days and then its gone no point risking anything if it is not producing results for me

its been 6 days no change whatsoever for me
not saying it wont help others but it did nothing for the 1 site I had it on
not an easy keyword I am after pos 18th and stayed there
no doubt if I was 455th this would have helped
anyway off to delete it now

Almost the same trip...
Jump from page 18 to page 5 in one or two weeks, but now it no longer moves.
Maybe just a coincidence...

For the moment I don't remove it.

This is an interesting thread.

When I first tried using this, I didn't like all the search terms sitting out on the sidebar because I didn't really want that much clutter, as well as allowing everyone who wanted to see what my pages were ranking for, so I removed all the widgets, but it still allows me to see what people are searching for and how they landed on my page by going into the plugin settings.

So up until now, I have not used the widgets at all.

I think I will go ahead and add the widget somewhere and see what happens. My site doesn't rank much and I don't get a lot of visitors at the moment, so if this will pull in some rankings that would be great. And I don't have adsense so not worried about that.

Same here. I started to rank for search enquiries for whom I dont even provide any content... on premium positions! it's really kinda scary...

I've been using this with 50 set for my posts.

I also use one sidebar widget, and a few other tweaks.

I am not sure if this plugin creates search pages or Wordpress itself but if search pages are indexed by G. it'll create a lot of errors in GW tools. I've got 6000+ Duplicate Title Tags on one site - mostly from search pages. It may lead to G. penalty - there are opposite opinions on that. Anyway our traffic dropped from 2000+ a day to 300

Now we are restricting search pages indexing in robots.txt. I hope Duplicate Title Tags will stop increasing. But what to do with existing once???

Again I am not sure if it's effect of plugin or Panda or changing tags manually on all posts... I am still using plugin with the OP settings. Seems like nobody knows much about it, time and testing will show

I got great SERP boost when I turned this thing off. I went from rank 90 to 19 on a KW that was considered very hard. I didn't do any link building, I just remove this and boom I was up there..

It seems like this plugin has different effects for different people. But it seems most people are experiencing a significant improvement, right? So I guess the smart thing would be to try it - and remove if it fucks up your rankings?

i suggest writing seo optimized posts of the terms you find through this plugin. and using too many like 100 incoming search can be heart breaking

I use this plugin and it's done pretty well for me Bt I also limit the # of tags it can produce to ~10.
