Does Anyone Have Experiences With Not Paying Their Taxes?

As other people said, definitely file, then call and set up payment options.

Allow me to disrespect you a little.

You really need to file.

and you really need to pay the taxes.

Ditch diggers make less than you... and they pay too.

Everyone thinks that they don't make enough to
pay taxes...
everyone thinks "its my hard earned money that I'm
giving to the IRS"

Stop that BS... and man up... and file...
file today... for this year ...
and pay as much as you can...

Then get a CPA(certified Public Accountant or other tax professional)... and
tell them the whole story.. the truth... don't worry.. there are a lot of people
that do what you just did... not file and not pay on time...

so they will not be judgmental...
They will help you fix last years deal..
and the year before that.. if you did not pay.

they will help you...

but do not procrastinate for one more second...
start on it and do it... like right now.

Good Luck

I also wanted to say

its easy for people like me and others to give advice because we do not have to live with the consequences of your actions ... but you do.

so the safest thing to do is first go to accountant get things sorted then resolve it from there the best you can.

I haven't done taxes for 3 years this month. I always took out extra though, usually doubled the amount taken in checks, so I never owed. Probably will come back to bite me in the ass, even though they owe me money.

Either way, just go get a taxman to do your shit, might cost a bit but it'll feel good when all said and done and you won't be waiting for a knock at your door. As stated, if you owe and you're making an attempt, they won't be too pissed.

REALLY!!!!.... well it was nice meeting you...
I'll visit you in jail.... lol

I'm kidding... lol

No.. if you worked for someone and they took the taxes out every paycheck...and you put zero dependents...
then the IRS owes you...
and trust me... if they owe you... they will not bother you...

lol

Simple answer, I didn't pay taxes for a number of years, I was sued by the ATO (AU version of the IRS) for $970K.

Pay your taxes.

take the home office tax credit and deduct vehicle mileage. you can almost eliminate se tax this way. for 2010 file an extension and send some kind of payment to show your effort.

File your taxes, I learned when I first started doing IM and relalized by not sending in tax payments I screwed myself. I owe close to $5000 and currently doing a payment plan, and I wouldn't even owe that If I had written off more stuff I didn't know about. This year I actually get a refund of $160 (which I won't get) and I made more this year than I did last, but I did pay a whole lot more for advertising etc which actually made my AGI pretty low. After writing off everything including college expenses and getting any other tax credits I qualified for, I don't owe which is a relief and gives me this year to pay off the 5g I already owe without adding to it.

IF you sincerely believe you are subject to the income tax, file and pay as above stated.

If you understand you (and most other Americans) are not subject to it, take the tax honesty route and do not, and from there on begin to lawfully resist the tax gestapo. IT'S NOT 'YOUR' TAXES, IT'S THEIRS, that the IRS is claiming to impose upon you, based on (mis) information reports you/your affiliate companies were intimidated into filing. Those reports are on IRS-loaded forms that mischaracterize your status and the nature of monies you earned. You should make efforts to correct that information, not act like you were servilely subject to the IRS. Or, you might choose, like 65 million other Americans a year, to not file at all (only 2,000 people per year get prosecuted for alleged tax evasion, most of whom filed). Your odds are objectively low of being charged is very, very low, regardless of what the fraidy cats say.

Either way, the IRS will consider misinfo report data received as an equitable basis for presuming you have liability, and to misapply its enforcement powers. Make yourself as judgment-proof as possible (to defeat illegal liens and levies being applied against your assets), get a foreign mail drop and re-sign up for your affiliate programs using the off-shore address. Stop using THEIR SSN, and thereby resist from the outset the tracking of your private financial activity at every turn, by an entity you are not subject to.

If/when the IRS barks and send you scare letters, kindly ask in writing that they provide you with verified proof of claim (not scary sounding, unsigned and unsworn form letters) that you are under their jurisdiction, or that a lawful or accurate assessment exists. Submit to them sworn statements that their data is wrong, and that they can not lawfully proceed with enforcement actions based on bad data. Add you conditionally accept their claims and jurisdiction subject to being supplied the evidence.

If they claim to have assessed you with penalties for defying them, kindly also request they supply you with verified proof that you are a) even subject to their assessments and penalties, and b) whether a lawful or accurate penalty assessment exists. You can separately submit FOIA requests to the IRS to supply you this verified proof (and guess what, the FOIA actually complies, and sends you a letter confirming this evidence DOES NOT EXIST in their files). If the IRS fails to provide proof of its claims, you are now able to document they have no basis for their actions, and have not met the terms of your conditional acceptance.

This is no magic bullet, but it work for those willing to endure the long war against tyrants and bullies. I have neither filed nor paid since 1999. After years of scare letters, I received notice from the IRS that they had closed my case, as they could not meet my evidentiary conditions, and could not find my assets. Yes, they DO give up, if you express the will to make clear you WILL NOT give up.

The ones you addressed in your thread are currently in jail and cannot reply.
Learn from them.

You can play with taxes with a good accountant but you cannot not pay your bills. Certainly not in the western countries.

I have experience. The IRS is a force that you do not want to mess with... trust me. If you have only skipped a few hundred or a couple thousand dollars, you are a small fish.

I acquired a lot of money a few years ago and did not claim it although it was filed with the IRS from the giver. Two years went by and I did not hear anything about it. Then, my wife and I started receiving letters from the IRS - certified mail.

I ignored many of the letters. Finally, they put a hold on my financial accounts and it caused a huge problem. I had to call and arrange a payment plan before they would unfreeze the account.

Other than paying on time and when you should, once you start to get a letter from them, call and make a payment plan arrangement. They will accept almost any amount as a monthly payment.

Once you are ready to work with them, they are OK. Having said that, they are government employees and sometimes they are the ones that were booted out of the DMV so there are/can be attitude issues to deal with.

don't be a pussy, most people don't file or pay

if your worried about it, just put all your accounts in the name of a villager in the philippines that lives in a cardboard box. you can use the debit card. even if aff networks want you to submit identity documentation this stuff is easy to photoshop and they have no way of validating it with the philippine government. you dont even have to know the villager, just put a fake name on everything and have the photoshopped documents for show.

you can get a pre-paid debit card that accepts ACH deposits from aff networks with a fake name and photoshopped overseas documents.

thats what i do anyway

the other way is to create fake invoices from real or imaginary companies in bangladesh and claim u sent all your profit there for 'seo work'. if they want proof of the transaction just tell em you mailed cash to save on fees

as long as you don't own obvious property you'll be straight, and if you calculate the cost of your overpriced property + all taxes you'll find its not even worth owning property at all.
but if you keep your finances covert you can buy lots of gold and bury it somewhere which is definitely the better investment

this is the dumbest post i've seen on here in a while.

this guy is in a state prison for not even tax-related offenses

tax offenders go to federal prison and the only way to even get cought up in that mess is to have your real name and SSN (slave surveillance number) written all over the place as well as lots of unaccounted for money and property flying onto it.

open an aff network account and on the drop down menu select USA and it asks for an SSN, select any other country and its not required; thats where your identity should be

Chuck Norris is afraid of the IRS...

Just kidding...the FBI is though

i can tell you all about not paying taxes. it doesnt sound like you owe enough to really have cause to default, but i will tell you that they will levy your shit. if you have a regular job and get a regular check they will levy it, possibly up to 50% including state. if they know where you work, so if your income is affiliate marketing your ok. they will also clear your bank accounts, etc.

if you decide to set up an installment plan you'll need to remember; all the information you provide WILL be used against you. the installment plan application will require you to disclose a lot about your income. also, the interest rate on the plan will be so large that regardless of how much you pay monthly, you will owe more at the end of the month.

i stopped paying for a few years and finally decided to settle on a large sum. they said i owed 30% more than i did and i took them to court and won. but . . . they didn't like that and re-assesed a different un-contested year up by 30%. i did not fight them anymore and i did not pay them. they levied me and got $10.00

it really sounds like the IRS is the devil.

Luckily I am in Canada with very lax tax laws. I have been able to shelter my taxes through various write offs for the past 5 years and the government hasn't seen a cent from me.
