Best Transcribing Software There Is

I am wondering what is the best transcribing software or service is. I have been recording phone calls and videos and am looking for a solution to creating a transcript of the conversation or interview.

I would also be interested in software that can take the speech from videos and put it into text. The only thing I found in the forum was to outsource it to india and have it done manually. There has to be something better out there, please share your knowledge.

Manual outsourcing is still required if you are working with a variety of voices. There are custom solutions out there (eg. the system Youtube uses to make closed captions) but they're extremely expensive and not really available to the general public.

For your own dictation, Dragon Naturally Speaking is an amazing and very accurate product. However, it has to be trained for each individual user's voice and speaking style - it's not good for transcribing situations like interviews where there are several different speakers.

I actually got an email from someone recently who said they were simply using their Android phone to transcribe with the voice technology on it. Haven't tried it myself, but they seemed quite excited about it. And it should be free.

I have dragon naturally speaking and i am still training it, but i tried using it while i was on the phone and it definitely didn't work. i also couldn't speak with punctuation and had no time to correct mistakes, and other stuff like that. I was barely able to get the gist of the conversation. i think i would be better off just recording them and then figuring out a way to transcribe it, because I want the other person's voice transcribed not mine. It is a pretty simple article writing method, just call an expert and have them do all the hard work lol.

Yes, it's a pretty good article generation idea I stumbled across while doing research for an automotive leads website i'm working on. While looking for potential buyers of my leads, I was in contact with many dealership owners and salespeople, and I can tell you, no one else is as excited about the cars, as them.

I would let them think I was interested in the cars, and as long as I tried not try to sell them anything, they would talk and talk and talk and answer any questions I had. I got many of my ideas for articles and content directly from them, as well as information about how to structure my lead sells and where the demand was.

I am still searching for a method to transcribe the conversations though, and am increasingy looking towards google's transcription because it doesn't need to be trained.
