Over 2k Backlinks and Still PR 0

This is starting to annoy me I have over 2k backlinks to my site, but still have a PR of 0. My site was on the first page of google for my chosen keyword, but it has dropped to #15. My backlinks are a mix of blog comments and profile links, and it shows that I have good backlinks, PR 5,4,3 etc.

Any ideas on why I don't have a higher PR?

P.S. my site is almost 2 years old.

Stop worrying about PR. It hardly matters anymore.

I have plenty of sites PR0 outranking PR5's and greater.

currently im using scrapebox blasts and sick submitter every day, hopefully ill get back to the first page soon.

SB is a great tool for quick ranking but, you get slapped within a week if you don't mix it up.

PR depends on your sites age, how frequently your site is updated and do follow links.Check if your site meets the criteria and wait for the next pr update.

Don't say all is confusing. Pinpoint exactly what is confusing and we will help you. As stated already

1-PR does not matter unless you want to flip your site.
2-Quantity of backlinks is not important is the quality and diversity.
3-Ranking is an on-going game if you are in a competitive game. Investigate how those ranking above you currently have succeeded in doing so.
4-Building backlinks slow and steady when you are at the top don't keep blasting. Also keep adding fresh content once in a while.


I hope this will slightly "un-confuse" you LOL...just playing with words!

the big G is definitely stressing quality over quantity. This is for links as well as article quality.

You want authority sites linking to you, so write articles for ezine, articlebase, ext... I would submit 50-10 keyword rich articles to authority sites

After that you should do some MANUAL link building, on forums and such. Get about 10-20 manual links a day.

These steps should help you rank back at number one, as long as you are not getting sandboxed atm

-Btw... How long have you been at #15? G dance possibly? Do the same steps but it sounds like a dance

Just to add to this... you need a variety of links on a consistent basis as well as solid on site SEO to get the position in the search engines you want to achieve.

i have 300 backlinks from 0-4 site and have 4 page rank. It doesn't matter on backlinks, it also matter domain age, content quality, duplicate issue

As far as the links, quality over quantity and fresh keyword rich content. I use xrumer sparingly these days with a few other link methods.

Don't stress it. Google will eventually index the majority of those links and you'll see a huge jump in results.

The Page Rank you see in the toolbar is not the same PR Google has going for you. Google's PR is constantly being calculated with each back link and it doesn't come out to a nice whole number like you see using the toolbar.

I have 2 micro niche sites 1 YO with 5 pages of content no backlinks to speak of and both are PR2 WTF ! On the other hand I have a medium size site 8 months old with 120 pages unique content 1000's of diverse backlinks and its PR0. All I can put this down to is domain age, otherwise it makes no sense !

pr is not just backlinks its content too!
