30 day case study about first campaign by a complete noob

Hey everyone, after reading these forums pretty intricately for a while now, i decided to create my first campaign. I have been reading that its much better to do than to read all of the time so i went and "did". My KW has 4,400 monthly searches and my domain is an EDM. I am trying to follow the thread by JamesH and also update the methods a little bit. And please feel free if i'm doing everything wrong or if im going down the right path. Thanks!

Day 1

Registered domain ($1.87 with GoDaddy) and hosting (2.99?/month with 1and1)
set up wordpress with plugins that are noted by JamesH
set up a clickbank account and put it on wordpress

Day 2

Wrote first article (208 words)
created twitter account (currently 20ish followers/following 170)

Day 3

Wrote second article (200+ words)
submit RSS feed to around 80 sites for back links

Day 4

• wrote 3rd article (200 words)
• anyone know of a spinner thats free or has a free trial? i'm planning on buying thebestspinner but want to try it out first

Right now i'm on the 5th page of Google and hopefully can go up in SERPS in the near future...

I cannot PM you back because I've yet to hit 15 posts. But the best way (for me) is to get WP from wordpress*org and download the file, unzip it, and upload to your host. Then install it (super easy) and find a nice theme after that.

Its completely free and has an excellent array of tools.

It might take an hour or 2 to get your head around fully, but its a great piece of software for the price

Day 4 Cont..

1. edited my keywords wikipedia page and put my webpage in :rock:
2. messing around with spinnerchief now and going to spin the last 3 articles (thanks again)!
3. moved up in google by 2 spots, now the 1st spot on the 5th page.

sidenote -- should i mess around with scrapebox or is google cracking down on content farms hxc lately? I don't wanna get sandboxed :/

General opinion seems to be not to auto post blog comments linking to your money site. Also, search for "google farmer update" and have a read.

i googled, and read some articles -- quite interesting!

day 5 -

1. hired some guy on Fiverr to spin my article and submit to directories (worth a shot..)
2. I seemed to have dropped some spots in google, don't know why :/
3. will write new article tomorrow

**edit** after dancing around on google, they put me on the 2nd page! w00t. hopefully i can get first page by next week after a lot of work to do

Day 6

• Using Free trial of Article Marketing Robot (AMR -- awesome program) to submit articles to new sites
• Wrote new article
• Disabled clickbank on the page until i get onto the 1st page of google ( I hear the google machinez doesn't like that?)

thanks for the support guys! Justin you were right, it was just the Google dance and I am back on the 2nd page.

day 11-

1. No clickbank or ads, disabled for next 2 weeks
2. wrote new article, spin and create more backlinks
3. one more article submission from fiverr /users/joruda he does good work! +mention me so he knows to treat you right
