Ran into my first problem today adding a link push. I got an error saying that an article could not be found that I needed to change the keywords. I am sure that some have run into this as I have seen BTB help some but here is what I did to fix that and keep my keywords.

As my keyword phrases were long and included the geographic area, no article could automatically be found. So I checked select article manually and under there is a box with your keywords. All I did was remove the geographic area from that box and up pops the article titles. I picked one and submitted.

Done!

The geography deal can cause that to happen and has happened to others as well... you did exactly what I would have suggested too... remove the region/area/city/country and it generally works perfectly.

Greg whats the deal with Linklicious ? Is it working right off the bat for the pushes we create ?

Thanks

Daily all the articles created are sent automatically to linklicious to be crawled. It's an automatic process so you don't have to do a thing.

Just a question regarding this. Do you know why linklicious offer API integration, if you already submit our links automatically?

My New Project

I have started a new project that I am going to track and keep a running log of here in the thread. Why you ask? Because this site is being direct backlinked almost solely based off of Linkpushes! The only other direct backlinking I will be doing is an occasional bookmarking via Onlywire (free account). Every week or every few weeks I may take some of the LP's built and do some mild scrapebox blasts to those posts...but nothing directly to the site itself. This project will run the next three to five months. I really believe in Greg and Kevin and their service and so I thought logging the progress on this project in the thread here would be a great way to show the results of their service (good or bad).

Read below for more detailed information

Some general initial statistics:

Domain Registered: March 23, 2011

Site Design: Wordpress with Thesis theme.

Monetization method: adsense to begin.

Tracking: I am tracking both broad and exact phrase for every keyword I post via Rank Tracker v5.1.3. I will do my best to provide numerical updates but as the number of keywords continue to grow that i track it will be difficult to describe in detail so I will have to eventually be general.

Goal: After talking with Greg and discussing the site and factors involved the estimated income once the project is completed should be $200+/day

Plan:

The site is being built around a high adsense paying subject.

I am starting out with a total of 230 keywords that range from difficulty of easy to somewhat hard...with a majority being in the easy to medium difficulty.

The searches per month on the keywords are a wide range of a couple hundred up to a few million with a total combined search volume of well over 20million.

I will be posting two articles per day to the site. One article for each keyword in the list. The total site upon preliminary completion should be around 250 articles. Each article will be roughly 500 words....give or take depending on the wording of the keyword (as in a keyword of "my best friend" would be easier to write more on than "best friend my")

At this point in time I will be writing the articles myself. I can not afford to outsource all the articles. To outsource all the articles the total cost would be roughly $1200 where as I can write two articles a day for free in less than an hour (usually around 30minutes). I do have 10 articles currently on hand that I have outsourced that I will use as backup if for whatever reason I have a day I am unable to write two articles myself.

The articles will have nearly perfect on page SEO with H1/2/3 tags, Bold and italicized keyword, keyword in specific sentences and paragraphs, and a general average keyword density of about 3%. With the power of Thesis I will be assigning the meta keywords and page keywords for every page to each individual keyword so every article will be very focused in every way possible on its specified keyword.

Every blog post/keyword will have its own individual Linkpush. This will be a total of around 230 LPs. The LP keywords will be the article keyword and either a similar keyword or most likely the main sites keyword.

Given the number of related links built over the course of this project in the link pushes I am not sure exactly how I will be doing the scrapebox blasts yet to the LP sites. I will provide more information on that later when I get there. But as i said above the only direct site linking I intend on doing will be LP's with occasional bookmarking via Onlywire.

I will evaluate later on down the line if specific keywords need additional LPs or other sort of backlinking but my thinking is that the number of Linkpushes that will eventually be linking to the site in general will provide juice throughout the entire site as a whole, even with only one LP to each post.

Current Status:

I have been working on the site for just under a week now. I currently have nine articles posted. All articles are getting indexed in google in less than 24 hours from being posted..usually less than 12. The way the LPs are scheduled out it will be a week or sometimes more before the articles I post see the LP done on them...which is fine but just wanted to make that known as it will mean some keywords will take a little longer to begin really ranking.

As I stated above I am tracking both the exact phrase and the broad search of every keyword I have. This means double the number of keywords in my tracking software. with nine articles posted i am already tracking 18 keywords. I can always quickly provide information on keywords in the top 10 and top 100 but it will be difficult to provide detailed breakdown info on which of those are broad or exact...so just keep that in mind.

I do have one question for anyone who is familiar or knowledgeable with wordpress. How important are wordpress tags on SEO? I have every post posting to a category with the same keyword as the post but I was not sure about tags. visually on the site I have author, Date, Time, etc hidden so that it makes the site look more like a content site add less like a personal blog. I was not sure if tags held a lot of SEO power as I really didnt want them all over the place either.

My thought process of not including them was I have meta tags and associated thesis seo options set fine and on html sites there is not really such things as tags like in wordpress...so i dont think it would really make that big of a difference.

This is what I like to see. I am going to try and do the same thing as I have a new site scheduled to go live 4-3-2011 for a HUGE keyword. i will be starting off slow with few hundred searches keywords with LP and other behind it (profiles, bookmarks etc) I also plan on posting about 2-3 post/articles a week if I can keep up with it. My question though is HOW importnant is it for on page SEO for the keywords or words for that matter to be BOLD or italic?

You want to use the <strong> tag for your KWs on your site, Rasta.

On page SEO is matters somewhere between 25 and 35% from all the discussions I have had with SEO guys and some of the testing I have done.

So you just dont highlight and select the B button for bold..you do <strong>KEYWORD</strong> ???

If using WP you can just highlight and hit bold, otherwise use the actual tag.

WP default is <strong>

Check your PM, Rasta, I sent you something that you would appreciate.

I am starting a new affiliate site (my first affiliate site in fact), it's gonna be 5 pages in total, 1 target keyword and 4 supporting pages linking back to the money page. What would be a safe but effective linking strategy to begin with?

I was thinking about doing 1 LP to money page and 1 LP to each supporting page every month for the first 3 months. Then blasting the LP with AMR and scrapebox.

I'm also going to be creating 1 manual comment along with about 5 profile links per day to my money page.

This is my first attempt at affiliate marketing so I don't know how I'll do.

This keyword gets about 720 exact local searches a month and the #1 site right now has only 51 backlinks. If it does well I can also promote the root keyword which gets about 2900 exact local and the #2 has 317 backlinks.

Crazedspyker, what if you set up one of those pages as a blog and every week added a little bit more content to it. That way you would have regular new content and it would get google on your site more often. One thing about small sites is if they do not get new content google might like you for a bit but eventually its going to go looking for the "latest and greatest" content. Even if you keep your site small page wise if you are using wordpress you can setup one of those pages to be a blog and then just each week add a blog post about your subject and link it to either your main page or another page.

Normally I would caution about blasting with AMR but if you are going to be doing it to a bunch of links I guess it would be ok because it would mean each link itself would not be getting that many backlinks at once...just be careful you dont hit a single link like crazy all at once....but as this is to your LP and not to your site you should be ok

This might sound crazy but unless you are going to be doing something specific to get that 1 comment and those 5 profiles crawled and indexed every day I actually think you might be on the low end there. If you are going to be doing it daily I see nothing wrong with 5-10 comments and 25 profiles. profiles get indexed at such a low rate and are for the most part very low weighted that ive seen and even personally blasted sites with 1000k a day for months and without trying to manually get them indexed only seen a very small percentage of them get indexed. Point being - unless you are using a good method to get them crawled 5 profiles a day is pretty much useless (I know nothing is 100% useless but compared to even one link push link a profile link is like a penny laying beside a stack of Benjamins)

I would think it would depend on the kind of competition you have. If your competition is made up of crappy backlinks that are not genuine and natural then you might be good doing profile links and some comments...but if you have competition that has backlinks made up of genuine quality sites then profiles are not going to have the power to outrank by numbers alone...it takes quality to beat quality from what ive seen

This is all just my opinion though....and im no one special :)

This is a very insightful post. I will take your advice and rethink my backlinking strategy.

The reason mine was so plain is because I am not used to affiliate marketing and have just been ranking low competition adsense long tail keywords till now. I've hit 25 adsense sites (I am still backlinking these and adding content to them all every day) and I've decided affiliate marketing is my next venture.

Thanks once again for your post. I will brainstorm a new strategy before I begin with my first attempt at affiliate marketing :D

Im not saying your strategy is wrong....slow and steady is the best way to go for sure. Im just saying that against the big wide world of google and competitors that it might be a little to slow...but your general idea of spacing everything out over time is spot on. You cant go wrong with your plan...it just might take longer is all im saying :)

Using tags will give you another page with that keyword. I have seen some of my tag pages come up in the search engine rankings.

Just what I have found.

Another question thats really on my mind is, can I blast an inner page with 12 linkpushes a month (my target keyword) but have no backlinks going to my homepage?

In other words, 10x more backlinks to my innerpage than my homepage, or would that seem very unnatural?

I've noticed that inner pages ussually have lower PR than the homepage. Do the number of links to the homepage "cap" how many links I can have to each individual page or can I just focus on inner pages and ignore the homepage.

You certainly can hit the innerpage as opposed to the main page. That won't seem unnatural if you have content on the inner page that is not addressed thoroughly on the main page.

For instance if your site was about Widgets and the main page talked about widgets in general but did not address round widgets in particular, you would be fine hitting your inner page that is based on the KW round widgets.

A good working example is a jobs site that I have.. the main page talks about employment in general and the inner pages all target certain jobs.

I did a lot of backlinking to the inner pages and now when you search google for the inner page KWs, not only does the inner page pop up on page 1 but the main page is there as well and there is not actual content on the main page about the particular job that was searched.
