Just so you guys know, the full business plan (with all the nitty-gritty numbers and calculations) isn't available until your investment is made. I'm happy to sign any contract you want, guaranteeing your payout and whatnot, but obviously I can't divulge the full-on blueprints to everyone who asks. What I will tell you is the type of business I'll be starting, where I plan on going with said business, and how I intend to get there. In an online world where no one can trust anyone, I can't just let my plans fall into the lap of anyone who asks. Again, I'm 100% comfortable with face-to-face meetings, signing contracts, whatever confirmation you need to ensure that I'm legitimate.

All PMs replied. Also, 4 slots are open since one of my potential investors was banned and hasn't contacted me in a week.

Guys he does not own a corporation, so you cannot buy his shares and take a piece of the company. I love how people on here pretend they know jack about finance.

OP, you say that you will pay back people double if your business fails, but how do you plan on paying people back double if you don't even have the capital to start out? What is your exit strategy?

Will you be fully transparent to people who are legit about making the investment? You need to understand that if you truly have a legit business you need to be COMPLETELY transparent for people to invest in it, and I'm NOT saying that you need to be transparent with everybody, only people that are legit. That's just how business works, business is built on trust.

Also, you are looking for 4 investors, and you don't seem to care if they invest $100 or $500 dollars each, which sounds very strange to me. Exactly how much capital do you need to start off this project?

I'm okay with taking loans out to keep my word if need be, but I'm confident that it won't become an issue. I have a guaranteed way to sell back all of the equipment I'll be purchasing for at least twice what I paid for it, and I can pay any difference myself.

As I've stated along the thread several times, yes. I am okay with being 100% transparent with actual investors, and I have broken the numbers down for a few people who ended up not investing anyways (hence my reluctance to share the intimate details with anyone until their investment has been placed). I have everything ready to give to anyone who will actually invest in this business, and I'm totally okay with signing contracts. This business is 100% legitimate, and so am I.

Well, I need a minimum of $500, $100 of which I can provide on my own if all 4 people provide only the minimum. That way I'm guaranteed to get my minimum if I fill up every spot, but there's also the potential to achieve (or exceed) that minimum without having to find 4 investors; and I hear that people like to have options, so I put out options.

As for the tools I need, it's not software, it's equipment and real estate.

You can buy real estate for $500, or do you mean you are going to rent office space?

I have a guaranteed way to sell back all of the equipment I'll be purchasing for at least twice what I paid for it, and I can pay any difference myself.

Suggestion - borrow $500, buy the equipment, sell it for $1000, pay back the loan and then you'll have the $500 you need and won't have to deal with investors.

I'm going to be purchasing real estate, but not for $500. Part of the business plan is growth :)

You know, that's an excellent plan :) I can't believe I didn't think of that. Too bad I can only get business loans for $5000 or more at banks where I live, and I can't sell that much equipment lol. Besides, why would I deprive the people of BHW of such an opportunity?

You need people to invest $500 because you can only borrow $5,000? In my experience, it's easy to set up a $5,000 business credit line and only use $500 to begin with and then use more if and when needed. Even if you can't sell $5,000 worth of equipment, why overlook a chance for 100% profit. Not a bad return even on $500.

The main reason not to have multiple partners is that it is generally easier to deal with only one partner. I'd rather deal with a single investor than four, and when investing in a JV would rather put up $500 and have an equal say than being one of four putting up only $100.

I don't mean to sound negative and I actually believe that bringing in partners can be a good thing, especially when they can add some experience or talent into the equation in addition to cash. Based on what you've said, you seem to be offering a lot more than necessary if you only need to raise $400, especially when you indicate that you have access to much more. I've seen similar 'deals' where the promoter claims to need small amounts (such as in your $100-500 range) from 4 investors, and then takes in as much as possible from as many investors as possible and then somehow vanishes from the scene. I think you'd do better and sound more legit if you said you were going to stop taking investors once you had reached the specific amount you need to buy your equipment rather than saying you have a certain number of spots open.

Anyone guaranteeing a 200% ROI in a few months is dodgy to say the least in my book. Why not just get a job for a few months and get the money yourself? Or taking a loan if this businessidea is so foolproof as you claim?

I've been in commercial finance and before anyone would put up a dime, you would have to provide the business plan in full as well as cash flow projections and an executive summary.

From there the investor would consider moving forward.

I call Rookie on this one.
