Any Highly Ranked SEO Companies Legit?

It depends on what companies that you are looking at. Yes there are some seo companies that are ranked that are Black Hat. But most of the real and big companies are ranked high because they have been around for ever and have done the right things over the years to get the ranking they have now.

I'm in this position as well. I have strong SEO knowledge, but don't have the time to do everything I'd like to. Was consider hiring a SEO company to do all the work, but can't risk finding out it's black-hat later on, or just wasting money with a business that doesn't know what they are doing. If anyone has any companies they've used in the past please send the information my way.

For the price a legit SEO company charges, I think you could outsource 10X the work.
Simply ask them: What will you do for my website? Point by point please.
Then take that list, forward to outsourcing company, and tell them to do it for a much lower price.

Good plan! But most of the SEO companies I've talked to though, only give out the basic outline of what they do. Will keep trying though, and pushing for more information.

I have a few SEO companies as clients that are 100% WH and one in particular that I am impressed with... if you want to shoot me an email via PM, I'll pass it along to him and see if he has an interest in working with you.
The two that stand out the most are Qualified Impressions and National Positions. Although it is a bit concerning that one of NP's testimonial customers doesn't even rank #1 for it's domain name...
