Whats Wrong With Ezine Now?

They were slapped hard by the recent Google algorithm change and that made them to tighten up their quality guidelines. So it won't be any easy to get articles approved :(

Apparently the normal acceptance, editorial review time has been doubled. Thankfully they decided to continue to let us use do-follow links in our Authors' box. However, they have introduced a 400 word min.

400 word limitation is good and I stand by it. Below 400, the article looks spammy and it becomes an article just to get backlinks.

But review time and rejection is horrifying... 1 week and sometime 2 weeks could be really irritating, when we are used to get approval in 1 day or max 2 days.

The only solution, i think is to give sometime to their editor as they are working under pressure and focused more to reject the article (they might be getting incentive for this... higher you reject, higher the bonus lol ;))

Till they settle down, other directories like articlebase, buzzle, bukisa etc sounds good and equally capable

Yes, they are more scrutinizing than ever, but I wonder they are going to keep all the spam articles upto now because of previous guidelines not being stringent as now.

Well good, they were a pain in the ass anyway. All they did is use our articles to make them money with adsense all over the place and my link way down the bottom. So Screw them, they deserve it and google shouldn't have ranked them so high and I never knew why they did.

The real joke is now they are even more of a pain in the ass trying to plead with big G for their place back, well I think their days are numbered and about time too.

Some people need to stop crying, Ezine was being used as a tool for submitting spun articles at insane spam rates, generating traffic to those articles, and they were making money off adsense. Can you blame Google for coming out with an update to stop auto bloggers and people making tonnes of money from websites/blogs/articles that feature utterly nonsensical content?

Google was right for penalizing this site as well as some of the other top article websites. However, don't fully believe Google, submitting articles is still one of the major ways if not the best way to get your websites ranked. Spread out unique content across the internet, use the many thousands of article directories available to you (many of which have not been penalized), and you'll still find yourself ranked in the top 5 or 10 for incredible keywords.

Of course Matt Cutts is going to come out with a video promoting Panda and how people shouldn't do article marketing, they have a lot to gain from doing this, in particular they have vested interest in people investing money in their company via adwords and other avenues. Why would they tell you what works in order to get ranked?

The guy said you should write natural content in order to gain natural backlinks and quick rankings, yeah, I'll see your website up there in 10 years; that is absolutely false information and will work only if you're chasing low competition niche keywords.

Don't be afraid to continue submitting articles, just make sure you're sending them to the right places.

In conclusion, avoid Ezine altogether. Their acceptance process is brutal and some of you sound like you're only using a few of the more 'popular' directories to do your submissions.

MEH. I just submitted three related articles that I spun from my own unique article. Sounds like they aren't worth it anymore if they don't end up getting accepted.

Maybe they are upset that Google is downgrading them, but most of their content comes from marketers, so they should take what they can get. No new content isn't going to help them either.

mammoth G has pissed off, lol
btw, i think Ezine should transfer to Yahoo or merge with a a big bro.

I can see that now they are coming back to track with very less rejection of articles submitted recently.. But approval time are sucking now... Against 3 hours to 1 day earlier, its taking 2 weeks now...

cancelled my premium membership with them the other day and got my last payment refunded, too time consuming getting content approved

I got an article accepted yesterday, it wasn't original content but it did make sense and had a v specific, descriptive title.

I think they're just extending the submission time and making sure new submissions actually make sense. This alone will get rid of so many submissions.

Hang on in there with ezine newkid...
I for one will be using your service for as long as I keep doing what I'm doing and you keep submitting to ezine :) (hopefully for a v long time)

They have been very strict after the G Update. So make sure to write very very high quality content and follow all their guidelines :) Just now i have got the approval for one of my article in ezine :)

Ezine article is not concentrating on unique content due to recent google slap they have lost about 50% of traffic as well as their revenue so thats they are tightening up
50%???????????**

Mate it is at least 75% (or 90%). That is why their asses are burning to death to find a solution and everything they do make EZA worse.:)

After Google's Farmer/Panda Update. These are few sites which got slapped as well.

wisegeek.com
ezinearticles.com
suite101.com

I have just one question, is ezine now worth the pain. I think there are alternatives for me I prefer Associated Content, it has the same readership and links are still d0f0ll0w.

I wrote 10 articles and submitted them to ezine. They accepted all of them. I've never had rejections anywhere. Damn, I'm good. :D

i just submitted 9 articles 2 days ago and my account is now suspended.

I bought the articles so they are 100% unique so i have no clue whats going on.

Im waiting for them to respond to me.
