Whats Wrong With Ezine Now?

Here is the facts guys:

article directories as we know it are DOOMED. Google knows these places are low quality articles looking for backlinks. As a result, any domain that google thinks is an article directory will get penalized from the beginning. The backlinks are worth less and the articles won't rank as good as they used to in google. Basically, article directories are a waste of time.

Now, looking to the future of seo it is going to be this: high quality content and high quality backlinks.

What does this mean? It means you have to write unique content, if google thinks your content is crap then they'll penalize the domain, the backlinks or even ban the domain entirely from google. Quality backlinks mean the backlinks need to come from quality sources. If google thinks the site is bad quality, they'll discount all the backlinks coming from that domain. That means autoblogs and article directories are doomed. Also I am sure google is going to have an extra eye on any site that accepts user content without strict rules.

Going forward its going to be about authoritative sites with high quality unique content. The people who get the backlinks from these sources will dominate the serps. The best way to get these types of backlinks is going to be from PRIVATE blog networks. The blog network owner wants the content and the article writers want the backlinks. Its going to have to be private because if google finds out, they'll ban/penalize all the domains.

I have 2 articles that have been pending for over 2 weeks, absolute joke...

Google's business model is to make life easier for people searching for stuff they want to find.

If you're helping Google do that you're golden.

If you're not, Google has no obligation to send traffic to your sites.

You gotta try to be align with Google's best interest and life will be easy. I.e., it quality targeted content that people want to find when they search for stuff will get you on google's good side. Everything else won't.

F**K EZA!

They are treating their loyal writers like total sh1t and just looking after themselves.

I have many, suddenly they won't approve mine too.

They have been telling people to keyword optimize for years. Yet if you look at any niche and write 100 articles, then 80 of them are going to be about the same 3 or 4 topics.

But now, you won't get all 75 approved, just 3 or 4.

Very few niches have 100 totally different keywords.

When they made changes a few months ago that was fine.

Now they have gone too far. It's not even worth the hassle of using them anymore.

And they are closing down accounts like crazy. Talk about disloyalty to the people who made them all their money. I hope marketers totally abandon them. Ungrateful sh1ts.

Great time for someone else to step in, offer huge revenue share but only if you submit good quality articles. Who cares if most your articles are the same subject, so long as each is unique and not spun. Google doesn't care about that, each article is still giving good values to the reader.

I bet they don't treat their paid members like this because they would lose their money.

Ezine is no longer worth it for it's backlink. It's still great for some article marketing though.

NO, paid members are getting the same treatment. I've been premium for over a year now, never had any problems.

But, all this week and last, nothing but problems. Like many of you have said, when writing in the same niche it's impossible to not have some of your content eventually be a little similar or be partly made up with similar subject matter ran with others.

They think that their fixing the problem, and that somehow it will lead back to their equal revenue after the recent google slap, when in fact it's kind of creating a double edge sword scenario where now they're losing authors and content command as well. Not to mention when the premium members tell them to F off as well.

More than frustrated myself with them now as well. End Rant.

Ladies and Gentlemen, You miss the point of the google update! Ezinearticles is just caught in a bind!

They allowed some junk to get in regarding

get my ex back

reverse phone lookup

is your husband cheating

etc

Ezinearticles will take back control and if you write strictly awesome content, you will benefit. If you write redundant articles you can say bye bye!

Google is a very smart cookie! Change the rules of the game to force any new correction desired!

What everyone should be asking for is "we need true competition in search engine traffic"

A lot of quality EZA articles have been now pushed down the rankings, and their replacement are low quality blogs that are in no way more useful or relevant. Although it would be wrong to expect Google Algo to be perfect all the time since at the end of the day it is just a result of mathematical formulas, this particular update is the worst of them all.

Forget about improving relevancy, the Google Farmer update was introduced because of a very loud public outcry in recent times. And this was the quick-fix they could come up with.

I don't see how banishing ezine from the top of the serps makes the serps any better. I mean the serps were being given out about for a long time for their low quality returns. And by low quality, i would never have considered ezine to be low quality. I always thought what they delivered was good and even when they returned a "bad" result, that "bad result" was better than most of the gargae blogs that were by it's side for that given keyword(s) result.

But i guess you can't have all the big names returning results for every single given keyword that existed. I mean would you like to type in "black hat methods" and only get results from sites like ezinearticles, buzzle, wikipedia, wall street journal, cnn etc etc.

Ezine article is not concentrating on unique content due to recent google slap they have lost about 50% of traffic as well as their revenue so thats they are tightening up
Its actually 30% decrease in traffic. They are doing this because of the new google algo and we all hate it. I am waiting for articles to get aproved to, hope they make it!

Well, I'm glad to see I'm not the only one who waited two weeks for any kind of action. I can understand their predicament, though, I guess.

Even I am glad that I am not single out and there are many facing the same

any other paid members who got the same problems??

I hate strictness.. I think private network blog and co get advantage from this..

AMA? UAW?

Pretty sure they are just trying to clean up their act since Google's latest big change. they make their money from the ads on their site. Since their traffic has gone down 60+%, they are losing lots of $, so they need to do something.
You can ask for a manual review, BTW, but it may not help now. Can't hurt

Is leaving EZA the solution, or is it a great opportunity for those who provide really high quality articles now that the competition is thinning out?

I'm going to wait a couple of weeks and let the editors chill out a little bit. Then I'll submit fewer but better quality articles and see what happens.

I'd agree with you. I'm sure this heat would not last long and within a few weeks ezine will be accepting good quality articles. I would not let go of the opportunity of working with ezine, which helps even now in ranking several of my articles on the 1st page of SERPs. However, I'm posting articles now with go articles, buzzle, articlesbase too.

I have been waiting 2 weeks for EZ for a couple of unique high quality legal articles. They are not spammy in the slightest.
