what to do with 1 million+ niche emails

I found a guy that has at least a million emails that opted in to niche sites like cars, sports and pets. He bought the lists so they have not yet opted in to anything he is doing. He wants to do a JV with me but I'm not sure how to start since I haven't done any afilliate marketing before.

Do I warm up one o the niche lists first before sending them to an afilliate site or just send them to the afilliate and see what happens.

He has hundreds of categories with millions of records. How do I choose which one to start with? What is hot now?

all of them are pretty hot nowdays,

just try to find a suitable CPA for each nicle and make a test first.
send about 10k to each. and in few days you will know which one works for you.

Even though its niche emails, i'd like to test their buying power first. Without knowing their buying power, there is no use sending them a affiliate link.
