In your control panel go to settings ------> writing and on the bottom of the page you'll see "Update Services". Enter the ping sites in there and WP will automatically notify the ping services that you have posted new content.

FYI If you have WP multisite installed then the update services is disabled. You must download and activate the Activate Update Services plugin then follow the steps above.

i found that blasting the same article to 50+ directories has no effect at all. You will only get 1 backlink in the end.

Its only a week old and has been getting hammered by you guys since Wednesday. It is not auto-approve but I let anything through half decent spun over 400 words and not adult related.
