How Do I Help My Friend with Bad Press

Hi Guys,

Not sure if this is in the right thread - but it is my first post - so hello, and hope you can give me some advice.

A friend of mine has just had some bad press & allegations made against him. It's now showing on the front page of Google for his name...

What is the best way to bury this, so that it disappears off the front page (hopefully to way down in the listings.)? It could affect his business credibility for future projects. We are taking legal action - but that's going to take some time...

Do I just write a lot of positive articles and use one of the members here to bookmark it across the web, to get more links in to the positive articles?

Is it as simple as creating a firestorm of positive articles and link building? Is Xrumer a possibility? Any other suggestions?

You should try asking google to remove it citing personal info being released without consent. Your idea sounds good too u gotta bury it under press that outranks it. Also, sign up to as many social websites as possible because the more profiles u got the further down the article could get pushed at least off the front page. Make sure u got a linkedin, a ig, a facebook, and youtube and twitter and vimeo all those can rank page 1 with content on them. That should push it off page 1. Besides that just forget about it rarely do ppl dig THAT deep and all press is good press so it makes you look famous if ppl hate on you.

Try and publish positive articles about him on famous news sites, blogs, forums. It will outrank the bad press and help save the reputation. I did it once for my client and it worked

i helped a female friend, who made a private recording and it got leaked thanks to her retarded boyfriend. google has a tool where you can request a removal. sites that hosted the video, removed it after a legal claim, but the results would still pop up on google. i was able to remove most of the results with:
