Returning Replicas to store.

OK so I have a couple Microsoft office 2010 pro replicas,and they have the COA with bar codes.

And when I scan the bar-code with my phone it actually comes up as Microsoft bla bla bla and tells me prices every where.

So heres my idea. Walmarts return policy is pretty cool. If you dont have a receipt they will just give you store credit(Gift Card) but still letting you return it. If I walk in with it in a walmart bag and ask to return it, they scan it,boom it shows up for $499. I then get a gift card.


Would this work out? Has anyone ever returned replicas before.

And please dont comment saying how its a bad idea just because you wouldn't do something like this.

PS. To get cash I would then buy something that emptys the gift card,but ask for a gift reciept so I can then return it a couple days later for cash.

Certain stores will just make you accept a new one, or not refund it at all.

Go to Walmart, tell them you want to exchange it for the gift card so you can do shopping in the store or exchange it for different software because your computer isn't compatible. If they won't give you a gift card, trade it for legit software then just sell the software on ebay/craigslist.

You can always complain to the manager because of computer incompatibilities and they don't know anything and wouldn't know its a replica.

That would even be good if I could exchange it for legit software then I'd just resell it

Buy the same software at walmart.Go to walmart with the receipt and return the replica.If it works ,make trips to walmart every week to return the replicas

You can also make copies of the origianal receipts and sell the replicas on ebay with proof of purchase(receipts)

i had a buddy who did this and yes it does work but if you start returning alot of items then you will get caught so you either need to have alot of friends and rotate people and dont dip into the well to much "dont get greedy" and you should be fine but once a year would probally be a safe bet this is a very serious crime and you will go to jail if you are caught but yes it is possible good luck and for my protection i would not advise doing this

Yea you might get away with it once, but then your face will be in every walmart shop around the country, and also the police will have your face on there records. For $499 its not worth it, It is fraud.
Also the giftcard would be cancelled.
For $499 its not worth it, considering you will be "blacklisted"

What items was he returning? Did he have reciepts?

UPDATE:
Went to walmart, guy at returns asked for my id. I shit bricks thinking he would keep it if he found it was fake. He scanned all three barcodes. Says it didn't exist.
He didn't suspect anything.
Me and my friend then went back to their software,and they didn't even carry it!!! Which is why the scanner didn't fond it.

Went to bestbuy.kinda weary because I knew the people there would know their shit and spot fakes. Guy asked why I'm returning it,I said wrong operating system.(Didn't expect it,dumb answer because it supports Mac and windows, said it guilty). He asked what system I had. Luckily I thought of Linux. Sent me towards returns. Nice looking lady said no returns if paid in cash and don't have reciept.

Went to target,DIDNT CARRY ANY SOFTWARE!
So we just went around saying dumb shit on their pa system.

Ya, they ask for ID when you return without a receipt. If they eventually spot the fake, they look at your ID and you end up in jail for fraud. Bad idea.
