How I Get Mad Rankings In Google

Nice tips...i sent you PM about one question what annoying me a while. Thanks given!

On the risk of sounding stupid, what is the BBB?
It is actually not that many sites, but we have way more backlinks than that. First Google never will show all the backlinks to any one website. The best way to see your backlinks is by using Yahoo site explorer. I use the module in Market samurai which pulls the data from Yahoo. Still it isn't going to grab all of your backlinks.

Also, it took me a long time to realize that it is not about the quantity of the backlinks but the quality. For example. Here is a great tip for you. If you join the BBB you can ask them to put your link on your profile page, but it also appears on hundreds of pages in the state sub pages. That is hundreds of backlinks from a PR7 site and has a lot of authority and legitimacy to Google. Worth the $370 if you ask me.

As far as what I spend on the services to get my site ranked, it really depends on the site, competition of the keywords ect. Generally I don't spend more than $1,000 on optimizing any one site. You can optimize your site for less than $100 a month with this method. For that matter you could do multiple sites for less than $100 with this method.

It would be a good test to just use one anchor text all the time and just laser target it that keyword. I would think that it would probably just rank for that keyword and nothing else unless your site had a lot of content and the search engines where just picking up a ton of long tails.

I tried this on a low competition keyword with an exact match domain, MyCityDoctor.com. I built a ton of backlinks using just "MyCity Doctor" to see if I would rank just for that or also for "MyCity MyState Doctor", "MyCity Physician", "MyCity Doctors", etc. I ranked #1 easily for "MyCity Doctor" but I was on page 10+ for everything else until I started to vary my anchor text. Once I varied my anchor text, everything else moved up almost immediately.

Excellent, valuable post, jstover.

Thank you for that information! I signed up for EZ, too bad I couldn't help you out with your affiliate link!

Yeah, I'm wondering this also...

Really depends on the the competition for the keywords. For example "mini split" took me about 2 months, but "online advertising" I worked at for almost a year. Most competitive terms will take 3-12 months.

All depends on how you define blackhat. By definition I do not think it has any of the following characteristics, but that could be debated.

  • breaks search engine rules and regulations
  • creates a poor user experience directly because of the black hat SEO techniques utilized on the Web site
  • unethically presents content in a different visual or non-visual way to search engine spiders and search engine users.

Technically everything we do is blackhat. You are basically trying to game the search engines to achieve higher rankings and not letting your site do it naturally on it's own.

I see what you're saying and you're right. The unethical part is that you automate something a whitehatter would do 1 by 1(article submissions or dir submissions). It's far from blackhat, no playing with the spiders and .htaccess file or kw stuffing etc. But I would still think it goes on the gray line just because of the tools.

But after all it's the name of the game, the only real way to get results in a reasonable amount of time.

Ya I mean it is a subjective argument. I don't think any of my methods are blackhat, but someone over at W arrior Forum may;) It really just comes down to what makes you feel all fuzzy and warm inside when it comes to your methods. For me what makes me warm and fuzzy inside is seeing my websites ranked on the first page with highly competitive keywords.

Hey John, I was wondering if I could have your ref link for the article service? I tried Google to get there, but couldn't find the one you described. I am quite interested in using the service. Perhaps PM me the linky?

Also, JETS woo

Alex, the link is on his sig.
I wish J put it there before so I can join under him.

This is site is pretty cool. Just set it up on one of my main money blogs just as a test. It's having a little trouble pulling the theme from it, though. Will I still get approved if I use the default template?

This blows me away how ungrateful some people are. This guy goes out of his way to give some of the most relevant useful information and somehow has been labeled dishonorable.

When I see jstover77's name on a post I jump all over it. He has given some of the best practical advice on this forum.

His insight is exceptional in every aspect and one of the few who shares his own personal inside information.

This guy knows what he is doing and gets results.

I've got a question to the 1 way links that you get per submitted article, what kind of links are that? Are those article links or how do they build them? Also where do you build them to jstover? Do you build them to your main sites or do you build them to your satelites?

They have a script that puts your articles on other peoples websites just as yours is being put on theirs. so it basically uses real sites which holds more weight with the search engines. Also it builds out pages on your websites which also makes your website more robust. You can use it for satellite sites or your main site. Totally up to you.

Here is another idea for you guys. Have Google Adsense added to all the pages in the script. These article that are built out on your page will be indexed and get you traffic in the search engines. Why not make a few extra bucks off of it:) Oh and make sure that your robot.txt allows the spiders to crawl the pages.

Great info jstover. Thanks for sharing your secrets.
I could also see in Godaddy that the domains were indeed owned by you.

I just have one doubt about the article network. Would you put the article directory script on dormant domains which are catching rust or would you also put them on your money making domains which are already ranking and having decent rankings and PR.

I have put them on sites that where older domains, and I have put them on new domains. I have put the script on sites that where already ranking on the first page, and all it did was push those keywords up on the page. It really makes no difference, it should help regardless.

Yeah I did understand that part, what I was talking about was: "100 Bonus Backlink Credits for every article submitted to the system."

How do they work? I don't quite understand what kind of bonus backlinks they are supposed to be, it doesn't seem like they are article links to me. What do you use those for? Do you yourself link them to your main money side or to your articles?
