I have a webcam model recruiting/adult networking site (MyCamProfile). I need for my website to be ranked within the top 3 places on Google for the keyword "webcam models". There will be up to 10 more keywords I will also be need highly ranked.

My website was launched nearly 2 months ago and already has a pretty high rank and is ranking high for similar keywords.

I do not care how you achieve the rankings but I want it done sufficiently.

I have a moderately high monthly budget but don't overprice me. This will be long-term work.

I would bet that this would cost some serious money as that is a HIGHLY competitive keyword phrase in a HIGHLY competitive industry. I'd like to see what kind of pricing people offer for that.

Dude - for real money you want page 1 on Google... the traffic on Yahoo and Bing compared to G is a drop in the bucket.

Money is not an a particularly big issue for me. I already have a highly successful business. I do not think it is competitive as you think it is. Now if it was the term "adult webcams", or something similar then yes.

modelxonline has the #1 rank for the term webcam models and has less than half the traffic I have and my website is new.

What you want to do is get someone involved who will do deep kw research for you and go after a few base kw's and multiple longtail kw's. Focusing on one will short sell you. You should also look into your analytics and start targetting those kw's where you're getting a few hits and have semi good natural rankings, they'll be easier to rank for generally.

You should probably take the advice of people who know the deal, that kw is highly competitive as basstrackerboats says.

You don't know anything about his project... Not everyone wants to rank for a term because of the fact that it gets traffic... There are many other reasons why someone would want to rank for such a term, especially in such a niche.

I think you misunderstood the context though, I may be wrong but from what I understood, he's just stating that he doesn't believe that the keyword is as competitive as dra$tic had stated. In regards to traffic, he only says that his site has twice as much as modelxonline therefore he doesn't believe that the competition is high. Re-read the thread again...

We take on a few larger clients every so often for more competative keyphrases but prices start at a minimum of $1500 a month.

For this keyword i would suggest you look at a higher price but we cover everything from SEO to traffic generation and don't only focus on that main keyphrase (it will be the main priority).

I use to be in the adult niche myself and so this isn't new to me and nor is doing SEO in the adult niche where conventional SEO goes out the window.

Which really refutes your original argument against me that I didn't know his project. It's clear he's targeting kw's for traffic reasons otherwise he wouldn't make a reference to that point. Traffic/Competition are 2 different things.

Anyway we'll agree to disagree I can see where you're coming from but still think my original statement was relevant

Getting first page rank in Yahoo and Bing is easy (now they use the same algos). I have gotten first page rank with some very high competitive keywords in a matter of weeks, but as BassTracker said Google is where you want to be.
