I've just ordered my first ever VPS. $35 per month, 1GB RAM, unlimited d/l and a 100Mb line.

Can't wait to try it out.

How long do they usually take to set one up?

Says up tp 24 hours on their website, but didn't buy from them yet, so I can't say by experience.

Bummer....was hoping to try tonight.

13 hours so far....nothing yet

Well I got my server.

first thing I did was test the new connection.

8.7MBPS!!! It was advertised 100 Mb!!

Logged a support call....not a good start

LOL! Install teamviewer on your VPS then acces it via TeamViewer and not Remote Desktop!

Then go to speedtest.net and check out the speed ;)

You should always access vps-s with TeamVewer it's much better :D

Does anyone else use this VPS?

Any other recommendations for a Windows Server that would be reliable and allows me to run ScrapeBox and other BH tools?

lol what are you people talking about?

This server is just fine for SB/nuke etc.

Im running SB as we speak 500k blogs and counting so far that has been scraped...Ive been running it all day....

can anyone agree on the statement that TEAM VIEWER is more reliable then Remote Desktop?

I ordered a vps today and the guy said 4-8 hours delivery

Teamviewer is pretty good. It doesn't randomly disconnect like remote desktop does. Check out Logmein too. I loved logmein but it's expensive. I've been using "single click vnc" lately. It's free and reliable.

i ordered a dedi from them last thursday, the haven't delivered it yet

Depending on the company, most dedi servers take around 3 or 4 days to get setup if they are not in the rack ready to roll - and that doesn't include weekends. Hold tight for a day or so more and I would guess it would come through.

:)
