Kids are awesome! I have two. The most fun times are when they are little. You get to take them places and do lots of fun things. Do what ever you can with and for your child to create some really wonderful memories. That means a lot to them later on and when they are teens they start wanting to do more of their own thing.

I was very blessed that while my daughter was in high school that I did not have any problems with her. I started talking to her about the things that she would face as she got older and how to handle certain situations. I taught her that she can do anything she puts her mind to and not to let anyone tell her that she cannot reach the success she wants to achieve.

I encouraged her to be honest with me even if I would get upset. The results, effective! She told on herself before the teacher could tell me anything LOL. But I never had any major problems out of her.

I am sure you will do great parenting. Sure we all make mistakes and learn from them. It is part of life. Just do your best. Also, enjoy being a father. Parenting is awesome!
