Amazon affiliate - can anyone figure this out?

So I am trying to get my amazon affiliate code into an Amazon product review.

When you are creating a review of an Amazon product you can insert a link to another product by using the "insert a product link" button on the review page. This allows you to select a product and then that product is placed in the review.

You CANNOT however paste a product link into a review. It will not be clickable. I've tried pasting html or placing a naked link but no go.

I REALLY NEED to get my affiliate link into a review. The insert function however just seems to drop some code into the review that amazon then interprets and creates a link for.

Can anyone figure out how to manually make a link in a review clickable or append an affiliate code to the amazon link that is dropped in by the button?

You can't. Amazon strips out any http codes, even amazon aff codes.

It looks like when I append an affiliate code the link it just ceases to be clickable, but still exists in the thread. Problem is it is then just an ugly, unclickable link.

guess so,
so far i see you have 8 posts, but 0 "countable" posts.
it is against bhw rules to try and increase your post count
artificially, so my advise is do not do it...
besides,
only certain areas of the forum count as posts,
go search the forum rules and ettiquette,
and contribute meaningfully to the discussions going on,
and you soon be able to post pm's and lots of other things too.
