Easy Adult $ Method That's Free

I'm glad some of you are trying this method. It should work for you if you give it enough time to take root. Once it does, it's a fairly easy and passive revenue stream. Since we haven't had any this method sucks posts, I'm going to share an advanced secret that it took me a few months to figure out. So let's discuss the difference between nude and lewd and the difference between tumblr followers and tumblr customers.

Nude pictures are fairly simple. They are pictures of a beautiful women usually topless. Often there is some sort of artistic quality to these pictures. Consider these pictures rated R. Lewd pictures are the pictures that take things further. These are your X rated pictures.

So, which should you post on your adult tumblr? BOTH! They accomplish different and important tasks. The nudes are the pictures that get a lot of likes and reblogs. If I post one that gets the right views at the right time, it's not unusual to get anywhere from 50 to 100 reblogs or notes in an hour. This gets links to my site on other people's sites in a hurry. Thus, it increases followers and overall page views.

The lewd pictures get very few reblogs and notes. Why? People aren't always comfortable letting others know that they like the X rated stuff. Does that mean these pictures are worthless? Far from it. This is why we install Google Analytics and check the actual page by page views.

The nude pictures while popular tumblr-wise don't actually get a lot of page views over time. When they do, the time on page is usually under 15 seconds. The lewd pictures can get page view after page view after page view. Often the time on page will be over 2 minutes. (Let's not discuss what the viewer might be doing in those 2 minutes.) Now can you imagine the average person looking at your picture for 2 minutes and staring at your good sales pitch to an affiliate link right underneath it? Think you might just get some clicks on it?

Which nude and lewd pictures will take off exactly is difficult to predict. There are a lot of factors that go into it. But, if you carefully track your stats, you will get better at it. This will allow you to post some pictures that are designed to attract popularity (tumblr followers) and some that are designed to get people looking at your sales pitch for long enough for it to adsorb into their brains (tumblr customers). So when you get to the point that you are posting mostly original content, make sure you have a good mix of both nude and lewd pictures.

Really Good post i will be going to do this.

How many tunblr do you have?

Something I forgot to add earlier: Click through links. When you post a picture on Tumblr you have the option to include a link to another site. If you do not include a link, then when someone click's on your picture they will be taken to your picture page. If you add the click through link, they will be taken to whatever site you set. You can take advantage of this on the nude pictures I discussed earlier.

Let's say that you post a picture from Met-Art, for example. If you happen to be a Met-Art affiliate, why not set your affiliate link as the click through link? I've already discussed how people are not staying on your page to view these types of pictures and that they are more likely to get reblogged by others. Guess what? Most people reblog without removing the click-through link. That means your affiliate link appears on their tumblr sites. So if someone clicks on the picture on someone else's site, it goes through your affiliate link. That's a win. Conversion on this will be extremely low, but so is the time involved to copy and paste the link. You can more than make up for your time if even one random person signs up through your link.

Do not post the click through links on your money pictures, the lewd shots discussed above. Use those for short text sales pitches. If you know how to write a one sentence pitch, these will convert better because people are looking at them for a longer period of time while they do whatever they do when they stare at adult pictures (make tea?).

I may or may not have others for other things.

Oh. That's Tumblr talk right there! I see you've been around it for a while.

Yeah, I may or may not have several others myself ;). I'm exploring different niches at the moment. I also integrate some blogs to twitter and facebook-- there's an option to do those.

Tumblr is pretty much open and fair game right now. I won't be surprised if and when it eventually tightens it leash and start enforcing stricter terms. It will take a bit of effort to build yourself up, but the pay off for striking viral gold is worth it.

What kind of ads seems to work best om tumblr, banner, text link or text ads? Also i cant find a free theme with predefined ad settings..Any pointers on that?

You will want to experiment with what ads work best for you. For me, it's small boxes in the sidebar and the occasional text link below a picture. Different niches might have different results.

If you can't find a theme with ad placements, you'll just need to code them in yourself. It's not tough, but it takes some trial and error. Install the theme. When you are ready to monetize, go to custom HTML and drop the ad codes in the appropriate places. There are a few basic tutorials on the web.

110 posts, mostly reblogs since Dec. 31st. Only 17 followers, following 128 people. I'm glad I'm following so many, it makes it rather easy to find things to reblog. Liked 62 posts.

Any pointers on how to get more followers more quickly? I'm pretty much reblogging everything I see related to my niche.

Not really other than being patient. When I first started I gave up in frustration and because I had other things to do that were making more immediate money. Just happened to check in a few weeks later and noticed that I had over 100 new followers without posting anything. Even now how many followers I pick up varies a lot from day to day. Patience is key. The smaller and more focused the niche, the longer it's going to take to attract followers I would guess.

The only thing I might say specific about your situation is that you might be posting too much. I vary my posting habits at times, but somewhere between 15 and 30 a day seems to work best for me. Are you reblogging everything at once? Don't use "Publish Now." Add everything to your queue, even reblogs. Spreading your posts out throughout the day makes it so that different people will see when you post something and not just the people who are online when you are.

Nice share, Jacob! How long did it take you to start making money?

I have read a few of the guides but i can't find the custom HTML menu :p. When i load the customize menu i can't find any place where i can edit the HTML..

An embarrassingly long amount of time. The method I shared is not the exact path that I took, of course. Since I figured things out on my own there were hiccups along the way. I've shared the method to go about doing based upon what worked and what didn't for me. To make anything worthwhile it took 4 or 5 months, which I still don't think is bad for a few minutes of work a day. Should take others less time if the adult niche is good and the pictures are good quality.

Customize > Theme > Use custom HTML

Very cool idea. A few years back I wrote a bot that automaticaly leeches pictures from free porn galleries and posted them to a site. Never monitized it though (was before i discovered this forum). Guess I'm going to dig up the old bot and play with this a bit :)
Thx!

What if I just want to share my own porn collection, does this work?

I only worry about the rights holders trying to sue if I make money at their expense. The affiliate linking takes too much time IMO, it's a pesky task. I remember doing it for adult blogs back in the day when there was HUGE money in it.

I'd prefer to have a single promotion for the whole site to focus minds on and something unique rather than usual porn sponsor. I don't mind something instead of money, if it means less chance of the rights holders tracing me.

That probably depends what's in your personal collection. If you plan on posting entire sets from some site, then the rights holders getting upset would seem probable. If you are just posting one or two things from a set and you don't remove any watermarks, then you aren't really hurting them. If you set click through links to a competitor's site, they might not like that too much.

If you look around tumblr, you'll see that there is a huge amount of copyrighted adult stuff floating around. As far as I can tell, no one has complained. I can't guarantee that they won't in the future, especially if your private collection has stuff that they only want behind a paywall as opposed to free samples.

Thanks for the advice, I'll try to queue all the posts and move stuff around so there's originals mixed with reblogs.

Thanks again.

Very good idea, I'm going to have to include this method using tumblr into one of my similar methods.

It will work if you stick to it. I think of Adult now like fishing. I build now mostly on my own domains and on off shore hosting. Though I still do use free hosting for some things.

At one point in time I used Blogger to make a huge income. Unfortunately one day the big G pulled the plug and it was over. However before they did I had made more in 18 months than most people will make in a life time. I got in right on the end of the big money with adult and made more most days than most people make in a month or two.

You can not make the money you once did but there is still money to be made. With adult today you need to think mass building of sites. The more hooks you put in the water the better your chances of making money. You can not make money with adult with only a few sites. It just can not be done in today's market.
