Scrapebox Tip - Check Proxies Faster

To check proxies using scrapebox UI you can change the timeout setting to a min of 10 secs.

You can lower this timeout to 4~5 secs to check the whole list faster and you'll grab the most responsive ones.

To "hack" this setting, go to your scrapebox folder/Configuration, open scrapebox.ini and search for ProxyHarvester=XXXX, now change XXXX to milliseconds timeout.

i have read this trick in proxyfire.....yup it will save you alot of time

even more if you check a ton off proxies

if you wanna set timeout become 5 second, just set ProxyHarvester=5000, correct if i am wrong

I think this should be included as an option in some of the next updates of the software. It's a big waste of time when you have to check a big list of proxies.

Been using this tip, I have to say, saves a lot of time, and for those who don't have a VPS, I recommend them to get 1, SB works like a charm with it.

As many other suggested it already on this forum , http://xsserver.eu/ , the live support isn't active, but the email support and activation of purchase is really fast. To be honest, the support is really awesome, fast, if you are having issues, they will spend hours for you to get it fixed. Their servers are located in NL/Germany (depends what you want), I am using the cheapest plan , it's my 1st month with them and it's really fast. I'd give them a pure 10/10.

Does this 'hack' still work as I tried changing the settings in the ini file, but it still says timeout settings as 10 seconds.

Unless it uses 5 seconds, but displays 10.

Yeah I forgot to come back and edit the post.

It's because I'd edited it with the software still open. So when it closed it put it back to 10 seconds.

I currently have it set at 4 seconds for my proxies.

edit: after changing the timeout settings to 5000 ms i noticed that the google checker didnt work correct anymore. maybe i need to change some settings. with the default timeout settings i got 18 google passed proxies and with the 5000 ms timeout i only found 2. i was using the same list and checked twice.

P.S: im using the new Proxy Harvester, not sure if it makes a difference
