Is there any method by which we can tell google our domain age old

I have a cust that picked up a domain and I am doing website and seo for. I saw in my seo bar that the domain is 8 years old. The cust wants to promote hard and fast...lol What would you recomend be safest way to take advantage of the domain age in this case.

Hard and fast could potentially work if done right. If your "cust" insists on doing it like that remind him/her to use deep links and varying anchor text. Remember your on page SEO such as meta tags and h1 tags

I buy expired domains, after 3 months google is almost always deindexing my expired domains . Any idea why ? I build quality websites, unique content, go slow on backlinks.

i have a question on a 302 redirect. i see sometimes google is indexing the source domain with the target domain content. but not on all 302 redirects. do you know how google determine which url to index on 302 redirect?

In terms of SEO, a 301 is always better than a 302. I would recommend that you go with 301 if possible because Google has documentation confirming that it works.

Anyway, if I purchase an OLD domain, as in 10+ years old, and then start spamming it, will Google be able to detect that I'm a new owner and rank it as such?
Do sites fluctuate in rankings as a new owner takes them over?
If so, is there any way to prevent it, so I can simply get an old, expiring domain and rank it for anything with enough spam links?

How to find out when the domain was first indexed in google?

That's a pretty good question - AFAIK there's no tool that checks how long ago a domain was indexed in Google but it's probably a good guess that most domains have been indexed in google at some point.

This tool is owned by alexa, and most domains that have a backlink from alexa are indexed in google

No, Google does not look for new owners.

Some good ones are Digital Point, Site Point, Flippa among others.

Thanks for the link. That's what always bothers me about domain age, since 10 year old domain could never have been indexed, which makes it worth nothing.

Hey Jesusback

Two questions. I bought a 5 year old domain name via godaddy auctions about 10 months ago and but some content on there and left it.
I take it that the previous 5 years are useless now? Google see's it as a 10 month old domain name? Judging by the way back machine, the last time there was a site on there was back in 2006.

Second question. Not really a aged domain question but kinda related.... If i buy a domain name and lets say i take it out for several years instead of the usual one. Will this give it more power in the search engines??
