Clickbank vendors stealing?

Please let me respond to penaakul. It's so easy to accuse when the other person doesn't realize they need to defend themselves. This post was just pointed out to me today.

I am liebe17 and I'd like to address the concerns mentioned above. I've got hundreds of affiliates. You don't get to be a best seller a clickbank by cheating people.
If you think it's that easy, go ahead and try. It's much easier to make money helping affiliates.

I'm also an affiliate of other products and I know this about website visitors.
No one "owns" them, you only rent a visitor.
Even though Clickbank puts a tracking cookie on their computer (assuming that they visitor doesn't have cookies blocked on their computer), they can still find the sales page through another affiliate Clickbank affiliate besides you.

Consider this example.
I send a Visitor to a sales page --------> they don't buy the product

Same visitor sees a Google Ad 1 week later, from another affiliate,
clicks on the ad ------------------> doesn't buy the product again.

Same visitor visits another affiliate's promotion webpage, clicks through
to my sales page --------------> visitor does by the product.

Even though "my" visitor was introduced to the product by me, I won't get paid and I don't expect to. The visitor just didn't buy when I sent them there.
No one stole my visitor, another vendor just happened to make the offer when they were ready to buy.
There is no way I can make sure the first affiliate gets credit for a sale. That's up to Clickbank and how they track.

Finally, I don't want you or any vendor to feel they're getting ripped off.
If you feel you're being ripped off, cheated in any way, don't just tell me - report me or any Vendor to clickbank.

Whether those in the forums think so or not, clickbank takes that stuff really seriously and they'll do an investigation.

If you find a problem, a link that is incorrect or anything, just phone me. I give my phone number to my affiliates. Just then tell me where the problem is and I'll have my staff fix it.
Because it's really easy to make a post in a Forum and make all kinds of accusations without having them challenged.

The truth is that sometimes we do test different offer pages to improve conversions and sometimes links do get mixed up. But that's not because we're "vampires" Monsters or Mobsters. It's simply that mistakes happen.

Interesting over 5,000 searches monthly for that in google keyword tool...

But it's a bit competitive, it's his main ebook site that has the top positions, so not that easy to beat. what did you have in mind exactly?

It's nothing magical, it's just building a site with reviews of competitors' products (only the ones that have decent search volume) and a review of your own product (saying that it's better than all others). Of course you'll have to make your site rank, but once you do, it's a win-win situation for you, no matter which product your visitors choose.

I bet someone is going to sell this method as a WSO on WF

I have used Clickbank for many years and the only problems I have ever had is when my ID didn't show up in the sales page so naturally I did NOT get the commission on the sale. This thread seems to have became a witch-hunt and IMHO is unjustly reflecting BADLY on an otherwise great payment processor/affiliate network.

Here are a couple comments and observations from my many years experience:

1. The VENDOR delivers the product so there is NO WAY Clickbank can cheat them out of any sales.
2. The LAST affiliate ID cookie that is saved on a customers PC is the one the affiliate sale goes to.
3. When an optin or other such list is made there is NO WAY that the VENDOR cn pass the affiliate link to the customer for a later sale. Such sale would go to the LAST affiliate I'D cookie that the customer has as already pointed out. OPTIN lists, etc by VENDORS is only shooting themselves in the foot IMHO as affiliates are NOT going to actively promote them since they cannot get accurate sales.
4. ALWAYS test your affiliate links after creating them to make SURE that your Clickbank ID shows up on the sales page.
5. When you come across a vendor that does not even use Clickbank on their sales page or uses anything fishy, etc, REPORT it to clickbank immediately! They take it seriously people! You would be surprised at the people that try to promote via Clickbank affiliates and then do not even use Clickbank to process payments. Pretty STOOPID IMHO!
   
6. Clickbank has NEVER failed to provide me with anything LESS than EXCELLENT and TIMELY customer support.
7. As always YMMV.

Welcome to CB fellas.

Let me add if you piss off CB, they won't let you know they're pissed at you. They'll just shave you to pieces. They won't ban you, they'll just steal your commissions. They are very clever and track different accounts you have and tie them all together. Don't get caught cookie stuffing or anything against their rules or they will silently shut you down.

I have been a CB affiliate and vender for 4+ years.

Venders have it pretty good. Affiliates get screwed left and right.

Great post. There are a number of vendors who overwrite your cookies in their autoresponders. Latif (auto mass traffic and rapid mass traffic) is another one. I wonder if thats why he calls himself(Latif) LA THIEF!

They DO NOT 'overwrite' any cookies!

As I have ALREADY pointed out if there is no sale made and the potential customer joins an optin list the VENDOR has NO WAY to know who 'referred' him at all!

Any sale that that particular customer makes to that particular vendor in the future goes to the LAST Clickbank ID set in their cookie at the time they make a purchase.

They put their own affiliate links in the autoresponder. Get that into your thick head. You are a vendor not affiliate so how would you know?

What do you think is going to happen? Did you go to school? I'm really shocked that as a vendor for 4 years you could be so naive. Clickbank states cookie duration is for 60 days. But when you have lowlife vendors like Latif doing this it undermines the whole affiliate system. If you don't believe me sign-up to Latif's automasstrafifc autoresponder and test it. Many other affiliates have said the same thing I am telling you. You appear to be in denial but many affiliates here at BHW are not and know whats going on.

I don't know why I am wasting my time humoring you but I have my affiliate ID cookie set and then signed up for the autoresponder and guess what?

My Clickbank ID is STILL set as the referring affiliate. (surprise, surprise - NOT)

ALSO, not sure where you get all your MISinformation but just in the interest of accurate information I have been an affiliate for Clickbank for NINE years and a vendor for six years so I am far from 'naive' and actually know what time it is thank you.

Be patient people, AMAZON is going to dominate ebooks downloads in no time. Some vendors are starting to use them already!

Clickbanks shaves and the publisher is not affected, so what do they care. My feelings is that it is an inside job by a very clever employee or employees!
