Quick question, after adding about 400 high PR profile links is it suggested to PING them, or leave them for Google to just find them?

ping them ping them! i pinged mine, my site got sandboxed and came back stronger then ever!

I ping them all the time. Google is really slow when it comes to profile links :\

If ive done myself just a few yes i always ping but if it was a big xrumer blast its better not to

even if you have a big xrumer blast just split it up into smaller digestable portions and then ping them

there is a way around all that tho and you could essentially ping all 400/ a big xrumer blast at once

Yes just split them up in smaller portions. Don't ping thousands or even hundreds of profile links at the same time.

i am pinging 500 profiles (high pr) per week to keep my site under radar

but really i love google natural indexing for big blast.

If the domain is new you might want to ping only a few of them to make the backlinking growth seem more natural. If you have an aged domain don't bother waiting, at least I don't and never had a problem.

ping a part of them, and let the natural indexer do his job :)

You can test this yourself to see if it is necessary to ping....
Can you find your profile link by just click throughs?
if not, then don't expect google to find it....
Best to ping...

well, i am just curious how do you people ping them?
i have done a blast of 500 blog comments and its been 10 days haven't got any backlinks yet. should i ping them? if so how.. thanks

If you take the time to build the links, why won't you take the time to make them count??! Ping them! If you have a bunch, drip feed them out so you don't get sandboxed. Piece of cake!

Ping in small groups so it looks natural, but the groups can grow larger as you keep going. Google takes too long by itself.
