Just thought I would share a list that I compiled last night. I would still like to use this list for my own sites over the next week or two until its dead so I am only going to give it out to the first 7 people that ask. If you son't see this in time and don't know how easy it is to compile an auto approved list in scrapebox here is what I did step by step for this particular list.
First of all, you want an AA list to use so that you
(1)don't have to waste valuable time attempting to post to sites that you will never get links from and
(2)don't get your site reported by Akismet for bull rushing blogs that have security.
- I used about 80 public proxies to harvest the blogs and 12 private proxies from YPP (yourprivateproxy.com) to post and link check.
- Click "scrape" under the keyword box and select the link wheel option. Put in a generic keyword that will bring up a lot of blog related topics. The one I chose brought up a total of 1140 keyword suggestions.
- Move those to the main keyword box and tick "wordpress blogs". Then start harvesting.
- I Repeated the same thing after ticking "Blog Engine". I didn't do Movable Type for this list.
- With both platforms it harvested 329,000 blogs. I removed duplicate URLs but not duplicate domains before getting to this number.
- I picked a site I wanted to test and don't need for the link destination. It's important you don't care too much about the site used here.
- Got a random list of names and emails and uploaded them to the comment poster.
- I Wrote a few spun comments (qualtiy wasn't too important since I am mainly going for auto approved blogs for this list) and loaded them into comment poster.
- I Changed my public proxies I used for harvesting to the private proxies for posting and clicked start posting and let it run overnight.
- Out of the 329,000 blogs attempted, scrapebox was successful in submitting a comment to 89,000.
- After it was completed I exported the posted urls and discarded the failed urls. I have tried going back through the failed urls again but the proxies I am using are good engouh that there was a very low success rate after the first round and it just wasn't worth the time. If you are using public proxies for posting they will time out quite often and you will want to run through the failed urls a couple of times, exporting the "posted" ones to your main list every time. Just takes longer.
- I then ticked "check links" and uploaded my list of posted urls to the "blogs to check for links" field and started to check for links that were already showing up.
- Any links that are showing would either mean that it was an auto approved blog or very quickly approved by a moderator and they dont care much about the quality of the comment (I just said something like "thanks for the post. Glad I found your blog, I'm sure I will be back" in several variations). Either way, it's a good place to post.
- Out of the 89,000 successful submissions, just under 2,000 were were showing my link. Now I have my AA list. Next time I run a real site through with this list it will only take a few mintues instead of 9 hours for about the same result (not including any comments manually approved later which I would assume is going to be very low in this case).
How long all this took:
Harvesting Blog URLs - 30 minutes
Posting to Blogs - 9 Hours
Checking for links - 4 Hours
I put less than 30 minutes of my time into it. The rest was just waiting for the software to do it's thing.
I have fiber with 50MB up and down in my office but I didn't set the connection limits very high. They were at 75 for checking links and 40 for posting.
