No need to be so cynical, this is not my site and I am not trying to promote it in anyway.
I realise it is a wordpress site but how do people post their own posts, it looks almost like an open blog?

I think its like Article distribution service , i have ordered some of those in DP and WF , you get you articles submitted to hundreds of blogs .

Actually yes , i ranked on the third page of G just with this service (about 400k competitor and used the keywords as my domain name) .
