Article marketing is working from long time do doubt. I got good number of articles with views ranging from 100k to 500k... They have sent good traffic to my sites from where I sold different products (CPA, Clickbank....).

You will need good quality content then you will need to promote them if you want best result. Some people only write articles and don't do any promotion (actual article marketing)...

You will need sites like ezine to post such articles because they got good amount of quality traffic.

If you just want back links then submit it to 1000s of directory after spinning them.

so are you saying that ezine articles backlink is not worth WAY more than a backlink from some "1 out of 1000s" artcile directory?

I mean if I don't need traffic from ezines and I just submit there for a backlink, should I get 10 other backlinks instead (providing that in the same time spent on ezines I can get more "easier" directory backlinks).

I have a question, as a matter of fact because you mentioned in another
thread about using a LP like blogger, I figured that was the best way to go rather than direct link from the article to the advertisers page...

here' my question if you have a moment;

do you create a new "blogspot" for each new "product" you promote?
or do you do a "review" blogspot, so as to just keep the same
blog with new or different products?

I have used diret linking before and it does work but works even better is a lp with a pre sale Soft sale them try the using the conduit method on a one page lp. I uasally don't promote more than on product or offer per blog because I don't want to confuse the user with too many offers you know.

2 sales within 10 days may seem like a decent or like a bad result. It depends on how many articles did you submit. I mean if you submit 5 articles thats great but if you submit 200 articles - bad. So could you elaborate a bit more on how much effort did you put during those 10 days?

Its just an example. All I was trying to say that we can not say if its good thing or not based on his 2 sales and 10 days experience because we have no idea how much time he spent on those articles during those 10 days.

I posted 6 articles on low search count keywords.
All of these keywords have about 100 to 200 searches per month.
Posted them few days ago for fun and testing, but they're related to my money site.

I have 3 EZA articles ranked top 3 today.

It took 2 to 3 days after publishing.

Just wanted to share with you guys about the keyword competition:

The pages where the EZA articles appeared top rankings had many PR0s and PRn/a.
How many is many? Well, it looks like there is plenty of them. I can only give you a rough feel, as every keyword is different.

Even so, there are pages where there are PR2,PR3,PR4 scattered around... Still, half or about half of the page is filled with PR0s. These pages caused the EZA article to rank somewhere lower, like # 2 or 3.

The article that ranked # 1 was on a page that had very few PR2,PR3,PR4... only full of PR0s and at most, one or two PR1s and one odd PR3.

Getting the EZA article to stick

It will be interesting to see how many days these 3 articles can hold their rankings.
Writing about this, I should just create more of these low competition keywords and record the results in my new Rank Tracker (Enterprise Ed.). Haha

100 or 200 searches per month is not a lot but It can be good if those are 'buying' keywords.

Continue to test article titles and do split-testing with your landing page.You are on your way to success

Not to mention, that it takes consistency to win with article marketing. Don't just submit 1 or 2, and wait to see what happens, keep on cranking them out.

If you're direct linking, then write the articles so that at the end there's a feeling of what the reader should do next, you know leave them hanging and follow up with a great signature leading to the sales page to finish the job.

Also, make note of which articles create sales, and write more of those type.

Just put it in your head to test ten in each niche, see if it creates sales. If not, move on or if it's in a highly competitive niche that you know makes sales, then figure out why you're not hitting the buttons and fix it.

Also, just thought I would give this tip as well, although keyword tools are great to gather data on a niche and find some gems that aren't totally saturated or already plugged with articles tied to tons of backlinks securing their position, some of the best keywords I've found and used have come straight from google suggest, so use it.

Well, basically I have like 400 article to date at EZA.

But those 400 + articles are not targeted. They were written for "popular" niches. Never did keyword research. Up to date, the total views are like 25,000; March 2010 till now. Lol.

So right now, I am doing keyword research first, then article and see how it goes.

How many articles need to be out there for someone new to article marketing to start making a substantial income? 200-300 articles? i could only imagine that it'll take well over 3-4 months to accumulate that many articles, unless you have someone writing them for you.

10 articles per day is 300 per month man... work hard and get paid!
