Rather ridiculous how often GoDaddy does this $1 / domain offer. They have to be losing money when 10K people buy .coms for $10,000.

I noticed that godaddy has recently started asking for verification to people who are making new accounts and using 1$ coupon. They also added the captcha too.
But i suppose it's to prevent people from creating fake accounts and taking advantage of 1$ and discount coupons.
Otherwise godaddy is pretty good, easy to use and cheap compared to most other registrars.

Btw godaddy makes money by getting your cc on file through these offers as only cc's are allowed for such offers. They get new potential customers and if you have noticed their upselling tactics, they can make $500/yr from one customer pretty easily from all those add-on services they advertise from a noob. Its all marketing.
