Facebook - Suggest Page to friends

Guys, I read somewhere that you can only suggest pages to 49 friends at a time; selecting all the friends or >49 will result in no invitations being sent. Is this true?

I invited over 3000 friends from my account to my page at a time, the fan number grows a bit slowly, but it's growing till now. So it's working for me.
