How much money you make as Ebay Partner?

I was approved as Ebay Partner long ago but never promoted Ebay after they changed the payment criteria for affiliates.

Many of you must be promoting Ebay products as an affiliate. I'd appreciate if you could post your earnings and broad niche. This would help me and other BHatters to decide if it's worth pursuing Ebay as another stream of income. Thanks on advance.

Well first, count yourself lucky. I'm a member of every major affiliate network, and many major single advertiser programs. But eBay is one of the toughest to get approved for, and then they've gone through several purges of their affiliates.
If you're going to become active, be extremely cautious to CYA.

I promoted ebay religiously for over 3 years until they changed affiliate model. I had many niche sites promoting them and was earning several thousand a month. After they changed models, my income dropped to almost nothing.

I sold off most of those sites and the ones I kept I switched over to more profitable programs (except for 1).

Others here may still be promoting them and doing well.

I have one site left that has their links on it and I earn on average about 30 cents every six months or so. I leave it up to remind me how much I hate ebay, and to never trust anything they say again.

And no. I'm not bitter. Disgusted is closer.

Ive found that ePN is still great with very targetted visitors. Often I will make more in daily earnings then ebay gets in fees.

This month I made 1k from around 20 successful articles that saw between 500-1700 daily visitors each.

They pay on time, their actual workings on why they pay what they pay is still pretty mysterious to me- but regardless of what they claim there quality standard algorithm computes - I seem to see around 8-10% of gross sales, which makes them a better program with a longer cookie life than Amazon for me personally.

I have tons of little ebay or amazon focused niche sites, mostly automated - none of them do great at this time. Most of the 1k mentioned came from web 2.0 sites and 80% came from one successful 500 word article!

I have also been an ebay affiliate for years through cj and now epn. My overall earnings were NOT hurt by the change - outside of no longer being able to do tricky parasitic promotions which were for the most part outside of my technical expertise anyway.

I see you requested a broad niche - i dont have one - I simply target products a mom/housewife would buy as they make 80% of american household purchases.

BTW - now would be the perfect time to put some effort into ePN, They have announced a performance bonus for NOV/DEC , you should have got an email and its posted on the blog. Essentially increases from your August earning benchmark in NOV and DEC are rewarded with income bonuses of up to 50% for a 50% increase.

It would be near impossible for a normal aff to not get a huge increase during the buying season - someone who has been inactive is near guaranteed to make the bonuses!

in conclusion, i like ePN , it works with my audience - but my content is product focused and hopefully well written - my BH activity extends to promotion not to content - i have no experience with ePN and anything more complicated than giving searchers what they are looking.
