scrapebox for company site? safe?

Yeah I'm a bit confused now myself about pinging your external sites like squidoo now.

I'm in the same position with a website I don't wanna get slapped.

My thoughts from tutorial videos I've seen and other tutorials I've seen in this forum it's self are:

1 You build your website.

2 You create external websites like (squidoo, hubpages, etc...)

3 You ping these websites (step 2) using something like pingler dot com

Would this be a good way to get started or is it bad to ping sites as mentioned above?

Or is that just with scrapebox links only?

Please clarify this and if you can add anything above or even come up with something better. It would help out alot!

The steps you outlined above are basically good for a start. You might want to take a look at my post above for an 'expansion' to it.

As for pinging your web 2.0 sites, that would be perfectly fine.
So when is it appropriate to ping and when isn't it?

People here generally advise against pinging the results of any MASS linkbuilding strategy. This includes big xrumer and scrapebox blasts among others. This is to make it look natural when Google discovers it by itself, and to reduce the chance of triggering red flags.

However content rich websites including blogs and web 2.0 sites are usually ok to ping.

Hope you get the idea.

As far as the Squidoo pinging goes - I don't think this is necessary at all. I made a lens 2 days ago and it was indexed within a few hours. I would definately just leave it to be found naturally.

Emma - re: Angelas and Pauls backlinks, all these sites get inundated once the backlink packages get released. Instead you can just use SB to scrape for sites and then arrange by Pagerank. Then for high pagerank sites you can go ahead and comment manually/leave a profile with a backlink.

As a newbie I also agree with this -- I was told once to think logically about what looks natural; people not conscious of SEO and not trying to get Google's attention probably wouldn't ping their sites.. not sure if this is correct technically but a simple way of looking at it I guess.

Thats a good point once I'd thought about it. I think i should def learn scrapebox, but perhaps first find someone to carry out this stuff for me. Can anyone recommend someone for this? (I know the services section has little review posts in each thread but im never truly sure of those, one time i bought something and it went bad and my site actualy went down in rank.. i think it may have been because i didnt emphasize that it needed to be done slowly)

And/or can anyone recommend a good place to learn how to use Scrapebox (can you only learn after you've bought it or are there tutorial videos someplace?)

Whilst I don't have/cant use scrapebox yet myelf, would SENuke be any good for making backlinks to satellite sites? (Im wary of using SENuke to backlink to my main website it seems a lot of it's automation is easily caught on article sites.)

Well, I'd have to disagree on your theory about pinging being unnatural. Here's why. A very simple example would be wordpress. Wordpress has a short built in ping list that it automatically pings after each post. Thousands of bloggers, SEO conscience or not, ping their sites everyday.

Pinging merely notifies search engines of the existence of new content which they are always hungry for. In fact, they should be grateful that you helped them serve their users fresh content.

HOWEVER, (and that's one HUGE however.) Pinging 7,000 xrumer profiles that were created today or a 5,000 scrapebox comment blast is more like telling SEs:

'hey, I just blasted the shit outa my site. See? Yesterday I had 0 BLs. Today I have 10,000. Now RANK ME!'

Do you see the point here? From personal experience pinging DOES help for faster indexing and it's completely safe when done on content rich sites.

Some people here may even argue that they pinged their x,xxx spammy backlinks with no trouble with SEs. But as you mentioned 'natural' is probably a guideline you'd want to stick with especially when promoting corporate site. Was just saying that it isn't necessarily a rule of thumb.

As for SENuke on web 2.0 websites, that's fine. However, sooner or later you'll probably need a blast (xrumer, sb...)

It's also worthy to mention that senuke is relatively safe to use on corporate sites. Profile nuke is small, video nuke would be cool..etc. Although for me, I'd outsource MANUAL linkbuilding for the client sites.

Hope this helps a little.

Thanks very much for the help :)

I think depending on the prices I find for manual backlinking direct to my client's site this would be the most reassuring idea for me, and to work on the satellite sites with Senuke, and get SB blasts to them too

Can anyone recommend anyone for manual backlinking work?

If no one fesses up a resource to do that type of manual backlinking based on your scraping results.

Do a quick video with camtasia describing exactly what you need done, and get a job posted on odesk.com, scriptlance, etc There are a load of trainable folks out there....the only thing I do NOT show a backlinker/outsourcer are the footprints I used to scrape with SB for potential link targets. I don't like training potential competitors ;-)

If you're looking for manual backlinking - check out freelance sites

As for SB - it's a tool with a great amount of flexibility. You can run it hardcore on your feeder sites or with limits on your main company page.

If worse comes to worst, you can always rename your company lol.

haha maybe ill tell my boss it will all be okay if it's renamed according to a keyword..

Thanks for the tip about SB bananapoison :)

I use SB on my main sites but I do it very cautiously. I hit it with 200-300 comments. No more. Not many of those will actually get posted anyhow. I blast the link wheels though. I also scrape with public proxies and comment with private proxies from a paid provider. Never use my own ISP directly.

Keep an auto-approve list from your link wheel blasts and use that for you primary websites. Chances are no one is monitoring the site for spam or even cares.

Keep putting articles (I spin them with SpinnerChief) and then I submit them with RankBuilder and run a ping.fm on them from RB.

hehe funny story, i talked the president of the company i work for into letting me register a new domain for our corporate website, and i picked a keyphrase that is relevant to the company for the domain name :P VERY easy to get up in the serps and now a month and a half later were on the first page of google in the top 5 for 6 of our main keywords

If you're using it for auto blog posting I'd say 'no'...however using it to scrape a ton of potential "relevant" blog & forum locations with some nice footprints, then pass over to someone to 'actually' post a comment or thread response that would 'not' piss the owners or community off...well yes, that can work. But it's really light grey at best and clearly not being used in a full black mode.

I use scrapebox directly on two of my compony sites with no problem at all.

Just curious not sure what you meant by not having many backlinks going for them. But are you putting baclinks on the sites you design? I always ask my customers and they are happy to have a small "site by" link. This really only helps a little but I get more traffic off of it. Some of my customers I have even done a small page for the "designed by" section where I put a keyword rich article or something. Most people that are having to pay for design dont realize what backlinks are all about.

Yes we do -- the thing is im not sure they count for much; the only keyphrase in there is "web design and hosting" which isnt great, my boss does not want me to alternate anchor text or where the link goes either, and of course all the sites we build and put our link on are new, and never get much SEO attention is all

Scrapebox is safe for ANY site. If it wasn't "safe" then you could simply head on over to scrapebox's website, buy a copy of it, and de-index your competition LOL

Don't you think this would be happening if "scrapebox wasn't safe?"

Scrapebox is as safe as a trojan condom.. Which is very safe in case you don't know.

Ha trojan condom :) With the extent to which i've been warned off any extensive backlinking to my company site, i am thinking perhaps you actually could deindex your competition, if you SB'ed hard enough?

I think im really gonna have to get into how SB works; i think it might be a bit of common sense -- for now i think ill try and outsource this; would i simply ask someone with sb to find me X number of relevant forum and blog locations using SB, and then either manually put links there, or give those places to another person to put manual links on?

..Sorry, but can i ask what footprint is? (If its an SB term, sorry, i havent learned about it yet)

thanks everyone for continued amazing help and great knowledge :)

I use SB on company sites I'm running with no problem at all.

I scrape blogs in the same niche as the site I want to promote using inurl:, intitle:, etc. Then I use the blog analyser addon, delete the useless stuff, check the "good" sites domain PR and finally post manually with "intelligent" comments. Oh and I never ping the blogs. This technique works very well for my needs.

Thanks mate. ;)

Agree or die : SB rocks. Satellites, company sites, shittiest site ever, whatever. As mentioned nearly a trillion times around here, it just depends on how you use it.

Sensible application of any tool like onerkript says above will always prove dividends. The old phrase "a bad workman will always blame his tools" applies more than ever. Take a logical approach and it can work on any color site.

If you have a list of auto-approve sites then I wouldn't worry about using company site - just make sure they are not totally spammed out. For others - make sensible comments and go for it.
