Want to Get Into Writing

I want to get into article writing, or any writing at all for that matter.
I was wondering; where would be the best place for someone with very good writing skills to start?

Just want opinions.

You can sell your articles on associated content, offer them on the various fivver sites or build your own site and write for yourself.

I am talking about earning quite a bit from this.
It has been a goal of mine for quite sometime to benefit from my writing skills, and I think it's time to make it realistic.

"Search" the forum for "article writing" and you'll find a lot of helpful info. Don't have the specific link but if you'll search for a thread by "lehpet" you'll find some info about a number of different sites that accept articles. You might even consider offering your services here on BHW. If you do write well and offer some free "reviews" there are any number of BHers that could use your service. Hope that helps.

I was actually thinking about offering my writing services here, but I am thinking of how to make it different from all the other services.

Plus, with HaRRo's new rule I have to wait a little bit.

There are not many places to make good money with articles nowadays because it is so saturated with cheap writers. You can always try Constant Content but their approval standards are pretty high.

Yeah, I noticed that even here with inexpensive writers.

I can't write for .60/100wds and make any money when I actually manually write very well thought out content.

P.S. I like how Constant Content gives you a little English quiz at the beginning

I have been writing online since January and I gotta tell you it is hard work because as I said the rates are so low. I am also a good writer college educated, etc, but the bottom line is no one is going to pay someone a good rate when they can just get an article writer for much cheaper with choppy English. My advice to you would be to try to find someone to work for that offers a decent rate and you may eventually get an increase or look at online publications. Opening a selling thread could stress you out too because one day someone will want you to write about nutrition and then the next someone will want an article about menopause. They will take a lot of time to research.

Now I write for someone else and unfortunately I write with quantity over quality in mind. If I am getting a low rate for an article then it is in my best interest to write as many as possible in an hour.

I like the research factor, and wouldn't mind changing the topics up.
Actually, I would like that a lot better I think.

Dude - you should just start building your own sites with great content and monetize them.

Short term - Less Cash Flow.

Long term - Endless Annuity.

Well, I have thought about that, and it will happen.

I am looking for good start-up money through pure writing and selling.


But yeah, I will probably set up quite a few sites in the end.

Do both. Write for your own sites for the long term and publish on Constant Content for current revs.

Writing articles can be a lot of grunt work and I am sure also requires an investment in a good article spinner - if such a beast does indeed exist.

Well I think I want to start with creating a service thread on here to not only work on starting out, but to get good reviews, and criticism as well. Any ideas on how to put a spin on it, so I can be unique with what I do?

Not sure since it is more a matter of quantity over quality for article writing. Writing your own blog combined with affiliate marketing might be a better play instead of just article writing.

Yeah, I hate that.
I take my time to write well rounded articles and get beat out by teams of writers that can push out tons of articles for super cheap.

Quality > Quantity

Yeah plus you can resell ones that you have listed for $20 as many times as you want. I wrote an article and submitted it twice but it didn't pass their requirements (something about my punctuation). I would have submitted again but when you submit am article to them it takes up to two weeks to be reviewed. After it has been reviewed in the case of them not accepting it they will not tell you why. They will only tell you to read the guidelines. Three strikes and you are out.

3 fails and you are not allowed to submit anymore articles. That is why I don't like it because I sent in an article, had it rejected, but they don't tell you what you did wrong. So I checked out the guidelines and changed some things and re-submitted and then again rejected but they don't specifically tell you why. All of this was done in a span of a month because the editors are as slow as hell.
