How the hell does one make money from PPV?

Could you recommend a good scraper? I've tried a couple Laser URL but the tutorials put me to sleep and got kind of confused. I got a simple keyword driven one that came with UWCS and that thing just goes all over the place.

Visual web spider - the best for PPV.

I was wondering bout a godcpa framing type of lander with PPV. Does ppv make it hard to fake the referrer?

PPC == the "future"? :)

I dont trust PPV at all, everything where you HAVE TO PAY FIRST for me is a SCAM. I want to MAKE money not throw $1000 down some scammer's companies throat.
There are too many uncertainities and grayzones with PPV - and i STILL want to see the posting where someone claims hes making A LOT OF MONEY with cpa + ppv. Instead, i am reading about people wasting money and dont really have success with it.

This being said, i might stay with PPC.....but PPC is so old, hardly "the future" :)

How WRONG you are. It's not because you have to pay first that it's a scam. What about Google ad placement? Is that a scam too? lol

OF COURSE there are uncertainties and greyzones with PPV. It's STILL very new and quite untapped. Go back 6 years ago and read what people were saying about PPC. Have you heard about Gauher Chaudhry? Go find his PPV Formula videos & watch them. It might open your eyes on many stuff. And the worst thing about it is he conducted his seminars back in 2007, 2 years ago:eek: Talk about being ahead of your time... Among the 20 guys that were in the room then, I bet at least 3-4 are millionaires by now.

If anything is the future it's definitely PPV. Why? PRECISELY because not a lot of people know about it and there is no clear blue print yet. THANK GOD. It means less competition, more market, cheaper views etc. If you need to bang your head on something & try to make it work, my suggestion is do it with PPV...NOW before it gets all saturated & everything. (which is apparently not likely to happen anytime soon)

And sorry, no one is gonna come out and say "hey, Im making a lot of money with PPV, here are my campaigns and keywords". :DLOL

One major thing with ppv is the size of the window. If your viewers are only getting a 750x550 pixel window and the form is on the right hand side, they're probably not going to be able to fill it out.

where do you create 'landers'?

You usually host your own landing pages. That way you have full control over the size and placements of what you want to promote.

Having said that a lander can be anything from a squidoo lens, blogspot article whatever. All you are doing is putting it in front of people who are search on a specific topic.

Is there a trick for using an offer landing page that's say 1000px wide with Media Traffic? Any wrapper script that can auto resize it to 750px?

I just don't want to create my own landing pages until I've tested an offer that converts.

photoads,

PPV works.

Don't forget to use rotators to test faster and like it has been mentioned above...you want to be the highest bidder to really give your offer a good test. If you don't reach your CPA goal, then, is time to move on to the next one...

With the amount of traffic you get from some of the PPV networks, you should be able
to find something that sticks, in short order.

Just don't fall in love with an offer and spend more advertising dollars than you should.
Cut the fat quick and stick with the converters, they will stand out like a sore thumb.

One last thing, like someone has suggested, create your own lander after you've found a winner, that way you can keep the offer fresh.
Agree. Better to fail fast.

Just make sure your lander is the correct size (usually 750px x 550px).

800 x 600 for LeadImpact.

TV is the same size as LI but I still go 750X550 - when you test the pop you often don't see as much, especially since the pops happen to people who are often running extra toolbars, etc on their browser - this pushes stuff further down the window.

So how exactly do we track each keyword/URL campaign, if not from the in house tools?

Oh God, sorry for posting 4 times - my internet is messing up atm! This is a great thread. Props to all contributors - keep it going!

One more question, about URL scrapers this time, what is the difference between some of the scrapers you mentioned above and Scrapebox, for example? Are they two completely different things?

i havent tryed PPV yet but reading all these posts and inceased my knowledge on the subject. thanks all
