I've been struggling to get my tier 2 and tier 3 backlinks indexed lately. Google's Indexing API works great for my own sites, but what are you guys using for external links? Are third-party indexers still worth the money?

Omegaindexer and speedyindexer works but you don't wanna add tier 2 or 3 as it's expansive.
You can add few of them at a time on the home page of a site you own and send the home page to reindex on GSC.
Old trick but may work.

dont index tier 2 and 3 at all, thats money for nothing. the only links that need to be in the index are the tier 1 ones and the way i get those in is the tier 2 itself. 30 or 40 gsa links at a tier 1 page and its crawled in a day or two, same every time. what usually stalls it is dead targets, half a scraped list is gone by the time you run it so the links never exist to get crawled. a list somebody verified this month fixes that more than any indexer did for me. still use one on the few tier 1 links that stay stubborn but thats maybe 5 percent

it will always come down to money - the more you have
the wider your options

Omegaindexer is a good option but it's expensive.

Third-party indexers can be hit or miss. I’d focus on link quality and crawlable pages first, since indexing tools can’t guarantee results.
