Hello everyone, I have ran Google Ads with Clickbank offers in the past. Unfortunately, I learned it the hard way that it doesn't work (at least it didn't work for me).

I now want to ask, what is it that me, a solo guy, with no products of my own to sell, can actually use Google Ads to start making money? Should I sign up for individual SaaS affiliate programs and promote them or consider building an email list and pitching offers to the list?

If there's anymore suggestions, I am down to try them as well.

Am I actually even choosing the correct platform or should I abandon Google Ads?

I have $400 budget purely for ad spending for now.

I would not spend the full $400 on affiliate offers immediately I would test one offer with a small budget first and track the actual conversion cost before scaling An email list could also make the traffic more valuable over time

Yeah I do not plan to spread my budget thin across multiple offers, I would like to just pick one offer and go all in on on that single offer.

with $400, there would be no point in chasing any opportunity at all but rather in taking lesson from the numbers. In my estimation, combining email nd traffic makes the ad money payback more probable.

Maybe try SaaS affiliate offers with a simple landing page and email follow up. That way you're not depending on one sale from each click.

I see, thank you. I have captured leads in the past but I just sent them copy pasted emails provided by the vendor, so naturally it didn't go well. I am myself at a complete loss on how I would actually make use of the email list

Most of them require approval process though. Do you know any that accepts beginners and at the same time converts well on search ads?

NeverthelesI would not advise doing all this at once as we haven’t got any figures yet. I believe that the saas approach can be adopted; however, considering our budget constraints, I will emphasize CPC, conversion rate, and leads quality.

I am not super strict on the mentioned budget, if I see positive results and light at the end of the tunnel, I would not mind spending more to double down on it, it is only a baseline to test and determine if I should pursue or stop
