Best Linux Distribution for IM which's SEO tools friendly!

I have been using Ubuntu for quite a while,but I always had to restart and put windows in for running certain IM tools.Now I want to run a Linux Server for hosting my own websites as well as a Linux distribution that wont give Unknown errors which we'll never be able to fix it.Can someone recommend a good linux distribution which is similar to Ubuntu and has many good server faciities,allow me to run many Server side application for testing IM scripts and which also will allow me to run a Windows XP inside the virtual box and not run into trouble.

Most IM programs are exclusively Windows. So, why bother with Wine? I 've tried and it 's not worth it. You 'll spend more time debugging shit than marketing.

Actually i cant use windows anymore with so many viruses affecting my system and script kiddies bothering me with their annoyance,ie why I need to use linux,can someone recommend a good linux distribution which is IM tools friendly?
