We have a serious problem right now with Digistore24 vendors stealing sales and it's getting worse.

Yes, a vendor can still steal your sales, even if you use a direct order link on your custom bridge page.
While cutting out their sales page eliminates 90% of the common "leakage" traps (like un-tracked exit pop-ups), dishonest vendors can still use backend, technical, or administrative methods to bypass your tracking.
The vendor still controls the checkout page settings, the product fulfillment, and the ultimate payout rules. They can divert your hard-earned credit through several specific tactics:

1. Manual Affiliate Overrides (The "Last Cookie" Rule)

Digistore24 defaults to a "Last Cookie Wins" attribution system. If a customer clicks your link, lands on the order form, but hesitates to buy, the vendor can strike.

  • How they steal it: The vendor can run retargeting ads on Facebook or Google that point directly to the checkout page using their own affiliate link (or a favored partner's link).
  • The result: If the customer clicks that retargeting ad and buys, the vendor's new cookie overwrites yours, and you get nothing—even though your bridge page did all the heavy lifting.

2. Custom Script Injection on the Checkout Page

Vendors have permission to customize their Digistore24 responsive order forms. This includes adding custom tracking codes and CSS.

  • How they steal it: Malicious vendors can inject hidden JavaScript directly into the order form. This code can silently wipe the aff parameter from the URL or replace your affiliate ID with the vendor’s username the exact moment the page finishes loading.
  • The result: When the user hits "Buy," Digistore24 processes it as a vendor-direct sale, completely ignoring your traffic token.

3. Exploiting Cart-Abandonment Emails

When a user types their email into the Digistore24 checkout form but closes the tab before entering their credit card, it triggers a cart-abandonment sequence.

  • How they steal it: Digistore24 allows vendors to send automated recovery emails to these users. Shady vendors configure these emails to strip affiliate tracking parameters, sending the user back to a "clean" checkout link.
  • The result: The customer completes the purchase via the recovery email, and the vendor pockets 100% of the profit.

4. Dynamic Product ID Swapping

If you hardcode a link to a specific product ID, you are locked into that exact contract.

  • How they steal it: A vendor can create a duplicate clone of the exact same product on Digistore24, generating a completely new Product ID. They can then set up a redirect on the checkout page or swap the offer dynamically behind the scenes.
  • The result: Your link sends traffic to the old Product ID, which the vendor marks as "discontinued" or changes the price on, while they process the real sales through the secret, untracked duplicate ID.

5. Silent Affiliate Blacklisting or Commission Dropping

Vendors hold administrative authority over their affiliate management settings within the network.

  • How they steal it: A vendor can retroactively adjust your specific affiliate profile permissions inside their dashboard. They can set your personal commission rate to 0%, flag your account as "fraudulent" without telling you, or put your ID on a blocklist.
  • The result: Your links will still open the checkout page normally, and the customer can buy the product successfully, but Digistore24 will attribute $0.00 to your account based on the vendor's backend rules.

How to Spot and Handle Shady Vendors

  • Watch your CTR vs. Order Form Impressions: In your Digistore24 Affiliate Dashboard, track your "Promolink visitors" versus "Order form visitors." If you send 500 distinct clicks to the checkout but Digistore24 registers zero order form impressions, a script is actively blocking your ID.
  • Perform Random Live Audits: Regularly use a VPN or a friend's computer to click through your bridge page. Check the bottom-right corner of the checkout page to ensure [Affiliate = your_username] remains visible.
  • The Ultimate Solution: If a vendor's numbers look statistically impossible (e.g., massive unique clicks, zero sales on a hot offer), stop sending them traffic immediately. Move your bridge page funnel to a competing product with an honest vendor. Your traffic is your leverage.
