Hey BHW Members,

I am curious to hear your experience

Are the same backlink types still working for Casino Betting Gambling Slots Poker Adult Crypto iGaming and other competitive niches or does each niche require a different approach?

only looking for real experiences and opinions

Great topic from my experience there is not one backlink method that fits every niche a mix of relevance quality content and a natural link profile usually gives better results different industries need different strategies so I’d be interested to learn what approaches have worked best for others in competitive niches

There is no single backlink type that works the same for every niche. Relevance, authority and natural placement matter more now especially in competitive niches. The strategy usually needs to change based on the niche and competition level.

Look, dude. Link building in and of itself is an integral part of proper website optimization. So yeah, you need links, but you asked what actually works? What works is good, natural links placed in articles - basically PBNs. The volume varies, I place anywhere from 2000 to 3000 even on small sites, because you only see the impact from placement after about 2 weeks to a month

From what I have seen, relevant guest posts, digital PR, niche edits, and strong editorial links still work well. Every niche is different, so relevance matters more than link type alone.

Casino and adult require a completely different approach because most normal sites block them, so you're forced to use pbns, niche edits, and paid placements. crypto is a bit easier since you can sometimes pass it off as tech or finance for standard outreach.

In high risk niches like gambling and crypto, I think the website quality matters a lot. Random backlinks usually don't give good results.

That's been my experience too. In high risk niches, random backlinks rarely move the needle. Relevant authority links combined with a well optimized site and solid content seem to produce much more consistent results.

I think casino and iGaming niches are much harder because there is a lot of competition. Random backlinks usually don't give good results.

From what I've seen, the fundamentals are similar across most competitive niches, but the execution is different. Relevance and quality still matter, yet industries like iGaming, crypto, and adult often require more niche-specific placements because there are fewer suitable websites and competition is much stronger. I don't think there's a one size fits-all backlink strategy what works well in one niche may not have the same impact in another. Testing and adapting your approach to the niche has given me the best results.

There is no such thing as a backliinks formula now. whatever works in one highly competitive industrry may not do much for another. i would put more effort into understanding the backlinks of my competing websites that rank highly at the moment nd desiggn my strategy based on them.

From what I've seen, the basics of link building don't really change across these niches, but the way you build links does. Highly competitive industries like casino, crypto, and adult usually need more relevant, higher-authority backlinks and a link profile that looks natural. Every niche is a bit different, so the best approach depends on the competition and the overall SEO strategy.

Every niche has its own level of competition but relevance is still the key, A backlink that works well in one niche can also work in another if it comes from a quality and relevant website

From What I have seen, the core backlinks types still work across most competitive niches, The biggest difference is how clean the link profile look's and how well the links match the sites overall Strategy.

Different niches need different strategies. Quality and relevance are still more important than link quantity.

I don't think the same backlink strategy works equally well across every niche. The more competitive the niche, the more important link quality, relevance, and overall authority become. A link that works well for a local business site might have very little impact in industries like iGaming or crypto. In my opinion, understanding the niche and building a natural-looking backlink profile matters more than chasing a specific link type.

Interesting to see that most people agree there is not a one size fits all approach anymore common theme seems to be relevance authority and matching the strategy to the niche instead of relying on a specific backlink type i will definitely test a few of these ideas and see how they compare across different projects

Thanks everyone for sharing your experiences
